Needs lots of TLC
We enjoyed our time with our families but we're not returning here.
Pros:
- great location: nice lake, close to town (Lindsay) for groceries, ice creams, etc.
- campfire area: huge area with lots of chairs
- outdoor furniture: loved the outdoor seating areas like the canopy swings and 4-seater gliders
- strong and stable WIFI: greatly appreciated by everyone
Cons:
- uncleanliness: not sure how much cleaning, if any, was done. Dusty overall and dirt on the toilets and toilets not thoroughly cleaned
- Speaking of toilets, the toilet in the smallest cabin was barely usable. Water pressure was so low it was only good for peeing and even then, it's at your own risk!
- beds: bed was sloping to one side (smallest cabin), some of the cots/futons did not fold out
- blankets: no blankets, bring your own, including linens for any extra cots/futons
- holes in walls/floors: meant we had wildlife visitors like mice, squirrels and raccoons
- beach and park: not private, had to be shared with other cottages in the neighbourhood, made it hard to use or take dogs there when it was full of other people
- cost: very expensive for what you don't get. We almost had to bring our own kitchen! This is the most we've paid for a cottage rental and it has the least amenities
