Quiet home off the beaten path. Plenty of space to roam, and the deer will walk around the backyard almost every day. The home has enough space for a family to stretch out and not crowd each other.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Properly was ad described. It was clean . Would have liked to speak with the manager prior to leaving home. Driveway is as described and very secluded. Mattresses were a little uncomfortable and some of the furniture ould be more comfortable. If you want to get away this is the place to relax and enjoy nature
Comfortable and cozy cabin tucked in the woods. The cabin is clean and comfortable with all modern appliances. The trails to the river are rustic but beautiful. The driveway is as described and a high clearance vehicle works best. Are only ask is for a crockpot since that makes for an easy meal in the winter. We visit family for Christmas every other year and look forever to coming back.
The home was beautiful, beds comfortable, but best of all, the COMMUNICATION was superb! The issues we encountered were responded to and resolved immediately. The host was even speedily responsive to issues we caused inadvertently. We highly recommend this beautiful home and this exceptionally responsive Host.
We were very satisfied with this getaway. The description was spot on. We were able to walk 100 yards on the property to the Rush River to do some trout fishing. No trophies but we did manage to catch dinner! Lots of wildlife to see! We visited friends nearby at a golf course 18 minutes away. Did some sight seeing. The driveway is 1/2 mile long which is to be expected when you're staying at a secluded house in the wilderness. Very quite and very relaxing. Just what the doctor ordered! We will be back...
Everything was what we expected. The statements about the driveway are accurate. The only cleanliness issue was the coffee maker had grounds left from previous user. Good selection of movies after a long day fishing. Kitchen had all that was necessary to cook and serve for 6 people dish soap was limited but dishwasher worked well. Gas grill worked well and had plenty of propane for grilling. Overall birthday weekend was a success. Thank you!
The plan was to lay low in the woods and fly fish for trout, and we did just that! The house was very clean, well kept and extremely private. Scared up some huge wild turkeys coming down the long winding, gravel drive, heightening our sense of adventure. Easily crossed the three concrete grates - like mini sunken bridges - slowly in our Volvo - no problem. The trail to the river was very well kept. The path down the embankment was steep but we managed it. The river is beautiful and the water was low enough in spots to trample over the rocks. Huge hawks soared over head as we tossed our flies near a doe and her fawn sipping river water. Didn't catch much - 3 days of storms messed that up - but we had so much fun trying; and the house was a cozy respite from the rain, with great wi-fi, and lots of movies/games. Town was welcoming too. All in all, we really loved our 4th of July adventure here!
This property was amazing. The neighbors were very kind as well as the property manager. Everything from the deer in the back yard & trout in the river made this an amazing stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed the secluded location and surrounding trees on the property. Sitting by the river and reading a book was a treat. The resident deer were entertaining, too. There were many nearby trails for hiking and biking. Overall a great trip.
