Lula's Lookout is located in the scenic Grand View Resort near downtown Pigeon Forge (6 miles to The Island), Dollywood (9 miles), and a short drive to historic Gatlinburg (14 miles). Our location just outside of Pigeon Forge means no dealing with Parkway traffic before you get settled in!

MAIN LEVEL

From the moment you enter Lula's Lookout you'll have that true log cabin feel with the soaring cathedral ceiling, numerous windows, and natural wood accents throughout. The main floor is a spacious, open layout and a great gathering space for your Smoky Mountain vacation. Smart TV, a full-sized pool table, electric fireplace, comfortable furniture, and kitchen with its unique stainless steel-wrapped breakfast bar and counters are just some of the features. There's ample dining space for six to enjoy your home cooked meals as well. The desk and complimentary high speed WiFi are the perfect amenities to squeeze in some last minute school or office work.

Enjoy the treetop views from one of our wooden rockers on the covered deck just off of the living room. It's a great place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing or while you wait for dinner to cook on the propane gas grill.

The main floor also has a full bath with shower, located just to the right as you walk in the front door.

LOWER LEVEL

Follow the beautiful log railings down the stairs and you'll find the two bedrooms. Handmade log beds and furniture create the perfect rustic atmosphere for a restful night's sleep. The stairs open into the first bedroom, which has a queen size canopy bed as well as twin bunk beds. Both beds are in the same room, so it's a perfect place to put the little ones down in the bunks while the grown-ups enjoy a few games of pool upstairs. This room also has a closet with a stacked washer/dryer unit.

Head out to the covered lower level deck (accessible from both lower level bedrooms) for maximum relaxation in our hot tub or to hang out on the wood rocking chairs and chat about your adventures.

The master bedroom is accessed through a door in the queen/bunk room, so you do have to walk by those beds to get to it. After a day of hiking or hustling through Dollywood, you'll find the setup to be quite convenient!

You'll love the rustic décor, king-sized canopy bed, additional deck access, and private soaking tub this bedroom offers. The second full bath is located here as well, with its spacious, walk-in shower and granite vanity top.

Grand View Resort is home to the fabulous Wahoo Ziplines, where our guests can take advantage of a 50% discount! We have open parking for two vehicles and just a few steps up to our front porch.

We arrived to the cabin infested with ladybugs by the thousands. Tried contacting owner with no response at all. One of the toilets leaked. The electric fireplace didn’t work. We had to clean the entire cabin to remove the dead insects with live ones still present throughout our stay. We were also charged 100 on Dec 21st for the deposit and then charged another100 on the 28th for unknown reasons. Still no response from calling, texting, and emails to owner. Terrible experience. Terrible hosting.

LuLu's Cabin was perfect for our family long weekend getaway! Rooms were comfortable, kitchen was nice, hot tub was great. But the location was AMAZING! So easy to get to and from and near many great restaurants and activities. Spacious enough for 6 people but was fantastic for our small group of 4. Host was great and provided nice starter supplies for the kitchen and bathrooms. Thank you!!

**Disappointing stay**. I really try to do my research thoroughly because I love staying at great places. This cabin fell short however. I did not read the description thoroughly and missed several things you need to be aware of. 1. The bedrooms are downstairs. 2. You can not get to the master bedroom without going through the 2nd bedroom. 3. The 2nd bedrooms bathroom is upstairs. 4. The "treetop" view was very limited and really like a tree view. See pic. 5. There was a beeping sound in the master bedroom that went on all night every night. (It was not the smoke detector, but I'm not sure what it was. I couldn't find the source). After looking in the reviews better, I see that this was a problem back in July. 6. We had a hard time locking the door to leave to sightsee and couldn't reach the host by phone .It just needs to be adjusted but should be done. 7. The most disappointing part of our stay was that when we reached out multiple times due to the beeping noise, we got no response. Even to this day. I even contacted VRBO because I wanted to make sure the hosts were ok. I have never had no contact from a host. Overall, I would not book again. If I am going to the mountains I want to enjoy a nice view and also like my undisturbed sleep.

Beautiful cabin

Very open and beautiful throughout the cabin upstairs and down. Everything worked. Was clean. Didnt use hottub but friends played pool. Kitchen has the basics you need. Plenty of parking in front. I had full size truck pulled 16 ft trsiler with 2 full size cruisers on it. It all parked perfect out fron and room to spare.

The property is in a great location as it is close enough to the main activities in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but remote enough to make you feel like you’re in the mountains and far from the crowds. The cabin is very nice. The kitchen is well-stocked with nice appliances. We enjoyed the decks on both levels and listening to nature. The Wahoo zip line is nearby and was a lot of fun. Plus you get a great discount! The cabin had everything we needed for a great trip. Nick was super responsive and easy to work with. The only negative for us was having to walk through one bedroom to access the primary bedroom. The website and pictures don’t really capture this. We also heard a soft beeping noise throughout our stay but we couldn’t figure out where it originated from. We still slept well and it didn’t impact our stay or enjoyment of the property. Overall we were very satisfied and had a great trip.

Nice location but has major kinks to work out

When we arrived, about 7pm, the cabin was not stocked with any toiletries or linens. Nick messaged us 30 mins later that he would door dash us sheets, toilet paper, etc. and added in some snacks for us. It arrived at 9pm, while we were still gone, so Nick let them in the cabin remotely, with all of our belongings just inside the front door. For this inconvenience Nick agreed to a partial refund on the cleaning fee, but it’s been 3 days and we still haven’t received it. The bats (mentioned in another review) have evidently returned as my son was awoken by them a couple of the nights. Additionally, the whirlpool tub in the bedroom still makes a loud continuous beeping noise. Nick told us to fix this by flipping the outside breaker (labeled “hot water”). Doing this gave us 5 minutes of relief but then the beeping returned. I was uncomfortable leaving the breaker switch “off” because it was labeled “hot water” and I didn’t want to risk taking a cold shower. After questioning Nick about this issue, he stopped responding to any of my messages, including that one. It does have fast WiFi and hot water, and it is in a great location, but it just has some pretty major kinks that need to be worked out. One other thing to note, you have to go through the guest “bedroom” to get to the master bedroom. The room with the bunk beds and queen has the washer/dryer in it and no door so it opens straight up to the stairs. Both bedrooms are down but only 1 bathroom is down in the main bedroom.

Log cabin experience

The location was great, the size was perfect and peaceful with both decks over looking the valley. The only concern we had was an alarm/beeping going off under the master bedroom! I tried contacted the property owner twice by email and once by phone call and we received zero call back or response. We ended up sleeping on the couches upstairs bc of the continuous beeping. Other than the lack of sleep, it’s a great place

Absolutely amazing!!

My fiancé and I booked this cabin to get away. We drove in from Florida and arrived wanting to relax and just have some peace. This place delivered! Super clean and all the bells and whistles you could ever want to just stay in and relax. It is also close enough to neighboring towns and shops! My family and i made the best out of the trip by getting out of the cabin ! There were stink bugs everywhere, bats lived in the loft, you could listen to them every night, no worries they are always there for listening too, they left 1 garbage bag for a week with 5 people. There was a constant beeping coming from the jacuzzi in the master, theres not enough hot water to even fill your bathtub. There was nothing for children to do, except the pool table, so be sure to bring your own things to enjoy. There was a hairball of black hair found in the shower none of us have black hair.i tried communicating with the host MULTIPLE times throughput the stay, never got one message back, good luck.

Lula’s Lookout

We had a bit of trouble finding the cabin. But once I put the zip line company in my GPS it brought me to where I needed to be. When we woke up on our first full day of our trip, we had no hot water. I text the owner and his repair man was there within the hour. The hot water heating element went out (no fault to the owner). The repair man was able to fix it in minutes and we had hot water a hour later. The cabin and view were both beautiful! Would definitely recommend Lula’s lookout to friends!

Cabin wasn’t cleaned, property manager unresponsive

When we arrived there were no sheets on the beds, no toilet paper, no paper towels, and no clean towels. We eventually found the sheets in the washing machine which had not been run, and the towels dirty in the showers and tubs. Tried calling, texting, and messaging Nick on VRBO app and never got a response. On the 2nd day cleaners showed up unannounced while we were not there. We had a babysitter there with our young children because we were in Knoxville for the football game that day. The babysitter obviously did not let them in, so they just left sheets, paper towels, and toilet paper on the front porch. We were never notified that someone would be showing up. The babysitter gave me the cleaners phone number, and after I spoke with them they confirmed that the cabin never got cleaned after the last tenants left. Throughout this whole process still never heard back from Nick.

My wife Kristina, daughters Lula and Hattie, and I are excited to share our beautiful vacation rentals and we look forward to hosting you! Our goal is to provide you with a clean and comfortable stay during your Smoky Mountain vacation with that "home away from home" feel. We take a lot of pride in maintaining our cabins and aim to provide a seamless guest experience. We're always available to answer any questions you may have before, during, and even after your stay.

It only took a couple of visits to east Tennessee for us to fall in love with the area. We love visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, so we decided to invest in properties that we could also share with others. It started out with our four bedroom cabin in Sevierville in 2019, which opened to great reviews.

Our cabins are self-managed, meaning there's no middle man relied upon to take care of any maintenance or upkeep, and no extra management fees. We vet all of the work done to our cabins to make sure jobs are completed thoroughly. If for some reason an issue does arise during your stay, you will be able to contact us directly so that we can make it right.

Beyond managing cabins, Nick is a Coast Guard Reservist and likes to play outside around the property. Kristina works for a local school district, likes to travel, and enjoys family time as much as Dad does. Between two little ones, two ponies, and several chickens, there's never a dull moment in our household! We usually come to East Tennessee at least quarterly to stay at one of our properties and often bring along family and friends. There's always something new to see or do in the area, especially with the change of seasons.
