Every season is special when you find yourself in the heart of the Chequamegon National Forest! Snowmobile and ice fishing right from the resort.
The Minocqua and Park Falls area has a Casino, golf courses, horseback riding, shopping, theaters, entertainment, and dining. The Wild Goose Resort is only a short drive to all.
Sleeping arrangement: 2 bedrooms; 1 queen and 2 twins. Also has a trundle. The new full bath has a full tub and shower and has an additional half bath.
Unique Features Our Wood Duck vacation rental is in the former Pub of the resort. In fact, the original bar is now part of the kitchen! You can be part of the many good times had by its past patrons. Don’t forget about the good times at the resort beach - our safe and sandy resort beach has a very gradual slope with no drop-offs. Parents love the beach-side deck with plenty of lounge furniture, a great place to watch the children splash and play.
Things To Do The Wood Duck lodge is on Round Lake, part of the famous Pike Lake Chain! That means fish for dinner: Enjoy great fishing - musky, bass, walleye, northern pike, crappies, perch, rock bass, blue gills and sturgeon. Bring your boat and safely dock it at one of the two large piers. Clean your catch in the fish-cleaning house with running water and electricity.
Lots of trails begin at your front door: ATV the many miles of well-marked trails through the Chequamegon National Forest which also has hiking, biking, and cross country ski trails too. Snowmobile through snow covered forests and over frozen lakes. Meet other snowmobilers along the way at trailside restaurants & pubs. Cross-country ski around the resort an on the lake, or find 9 professionally groomed cross-country ski trails nearby (including the Round Lake Wilderness Study Area).
Guest arrive every year to enjoy deer, bear, grouse, ducks and snowshoe hunting. Did you know? Park Falls is the "Ruffed Grouse Capital of the World."
