This was the perfect place for two to relax and enjoy. The constant sound of water lapping (or in the case of day 3, more like crashing) in the background was blissful! The cabin is small and compact but so well thought out containing all the things we needed. Top notch on cleanliness. Not sure if it was the water effect, but didn’t even miss the air conditioning Colourful sunsets. Want to catch sunrise, and so many other beauties too? Head up to Boardwalk at Point Pelee Park!
Small little cabin… But all you need when you’re staying right on the lake. The breeze is wonderful… Enjoy just sitting out outside listening to the water.. All the essentials are there… It’s a little warm with no air conditioner… But really spend very little time in the cabin is it’s so lovely and comfortable outside. Pele Park is incredibly close and absolutely beautiful. Met the owners that live next-door part of the year… Very nice it is super friendly.… Even the woman who cleans the cabins Oistrakh up a conversation with me and gave me tips on places to go and things to do. I would definitely recommend this little cabin on the lake if you’re trying to get away from it all and just be able to relax.
The national park entrance is only 500 meters away, so it is so convenient that we could go to the park and watch the birds at early morning, then come back for breakfast. Take a nap on the beach. Then in the late evening when the park is quiet again, we can go to the park watching birds again!
If you come to watch the birds, this is the best choice!
Beautiful view of the Lake, very close to Point Pelee Park if your looking to hit the park for the day. Restaurant within walking distance called Ships Ahoy. Didnt eat there but its an option. Lemington min drive away if you need something. Cozy cabin, but like in the description its geared for its outdoor space. We got stuck inside, because the weather was horrible. It has everything you will need for your stay. Very clean, and the people who take care of the property were very helpful (Jamie) . Great stay, would go back.
We had some problems with ants on kitchen surfaces. After we scrubbed everything down, no longer a problem so there must have been some residue left on surface.
Location excellent for our birding activities. Lake is gorgeous.
Lovely little spot but please add air-conditioning!
For two adults looking for a weekend getaway you have come to the right spot that-that is if you don’t mind sharing very small ( but very clean and well equipped). My biggest turn off, and likely why we will not return is how unbelievably hot the cabin was - and that included 3 fans and a cross breeze. Please invest in at least one window unit per cabin.

Thank you for your honest feedback and for noting the cleanliness and thoughtful setup of our tiny home. We're so glad you found it well-equipped and suitable for a weekend getaway.
We completely understand how the heat impacted your experience especially during one of the hottest weekends of the year. Our cabins are designed to provide a simple, off-grid, beachy escape, which can feel quite warm in extreme weather. While we do provide multiple fans and aim for good ventilation, we know that on certain days, it may not be enough.
We truly appreciate your suggestion. While adding traditional AC units isn't currently aligned with our off-grid infrastructure, we’re actively exploring sustainable ways to improve comfort during heat waves, without compromising the unique character of the space.
Thank you again for staying with us...we’re grateful for your feedback, and we hope you found some moments of relaxation by the beach.

We arrived late to find the property was not what we expected, very tine like tool shed and outdoor shared shower made of wood boards you can see through. We started a fire on beach and bottom step was so rotten and not secured one of my family members fell threw and fell after all that ,we left a day early and spoke with property manager who said we would be reinbust. We are still waiting for reinbursement and after many failed attemps to contact customer service we are left wondering if they even care about the unsafe conditions.

Not a "private" get away place. The shared shower outdoors, put me over the edge!
There are two small cabins - too close.
Absolutely great if you are friends or family rent both.
All ok if you want to share your entire experience with the other cabin- not for me.
I ordered firewood , literally they dropped of 16 pieces on the lawn and left?It does not come in mesh bags at this place. Bad idea on their part. But fires were awesome.
All dealings with rental company was excellent. Owner lives next door, again lack of privacy, but very nice people.
Just not private AT ALL!!!!!
But absolutely great views .
The location is the best part of this property. The proximity to the national park especially for the price is unmatched. The park pass provided is a MAJOR bonus, makes accessing the park so much easier. It's also right on the beach. It's beach bum heaven!
The only cons (my cons, everone is different) were that the shower is outside. Although it's obviously covered, it's extremely close to the neighbor's cottage. I don't recall seeing in the listing that the shower is outside and I read it several times before and after booking. It was awkward.
Secondly, because beachfront property is so scarce and coveted, you'll find all the cottages in the area are practically on top of each other. If you're looking for a private beach escape, this is not it.
However if you're down with a communal feel, a cute cozy cottage on a beautiful sandy beach, and a quick walk to a bucket list national park...this is the place for you!!!
P.S one thing to note is that Paul is the property manager. The cottage is actually owned by a man named James. That may cause some confusion for you at the beginning but you'll figure it out in no time. Paul is the one you communicate with through the whole process and he'll take good care of you.
Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality! The owner was very inviting and friendly. We enjoyed the cabin and the privacy of the beach…there was hardly anyone there so it was very relaxing. Would highly recommend! We will be returning. Thanks again!
