You and your 9 guest will have this entire 1,800 sqft to yourself. The master bed and bath are upstairs with complete privacy, with your own balcony. Just off the living room is the main deck with stairs to the lake. At the bottom of the stairs is a spacious and open deck. Getting in and out of the lake is simple with steps on the deck from the water. The kitchen and living room is open and spacious with every cooking nook needed. This house sleeps 10 max. Disappointing

Dirt road to the property is rough. The neighbor to the left looks literally like a junk yard. We walked through spider webs on our way to the door. Found that the property had not been cleaned. The property manager offered to cancel and refund our money but we had no where else to go as our daughter, son-in-law, and 4 grandkids were in route. While we appreciated the apology of the property manager, it would have been reasonable to compensate us in some way. Trash cans were full and we had to wash the pots and pans we used. There were ants and more spider webs inside the house. Internet was spotty. (My iPhone said it had weak security). Definitely not a “luxury” lake house. We had planned this months in advance and we were very disappointed.

Overall a good stay…

This stay was overall good. Don’t get confused by the entrance, it’s a dirt road but has severe water washout…be careful in your vehicle. You must have plenty of ant spray available! The ants covered our pick up truck while parked under the car port! Nice open home and balconies! Fishing was great…long walk to the Bottom but great once you get there. We wanted to extend our stay just to fish one more day but never heard from the manager. I would definitely book again!

Nice place, enjoyed our stay!

Nice property, in great shape. Very comfortable setting. Enjoyed fishing from the pier and using the dock to keep my boat available and in the water. Boat launch is less than 1/2 mile from the camp. Nice buoy system with lights and markers made lake navigation very easy. Our first trip to Lake Darbonne and we really enjoyed using this camp for it. We will be back!

Fishing Trip

The house fit our needs we came in for a crappie tournament and enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and as described, the host was informative with quick response. Plenty of parking under the carport for two boats and two trucks with extra parking across the road. We enjoyed our stay. We would stay again.
