We wanted a quick getaway and found this gem last minute. Great fishing and views. It was very clean and cozy. Will look at staying here again in the future.
Great for family!
Great set up for multiple families. Very clean and convenient, the kitchen has everything you need! Excellent fishing, close to beach, marina, etc. 4th of July fireworks on the deck were just beautiful!!
Best location possible! The property needs some TLC, though
We had a great time, and were so glad for the big fenced yard that our dogs could enjoy. The porches here are amazing, as is the view. We really appreciated all the stackable outdoor seating, as we were able to have family come over and hang out with us, while looking out over the water and the pier....that was an unexpected point of interest! Though all the activity did make our dogs bark, so we didn't chose to have them outside as much as we'd hoped.
The size of the house is great, plenty big. Though I think it should be described as having 3 full bedrooms, with a sitting room that has a sleeper sofa.
Due to location, I can see what the hurricane blinds are kept in place, but they need to be easier to open and close. The house is great because of it's position near the water, but there are 3 things that would make it a nicer place to stay. First, it was an ordeal to get most of the shutters open, and some we never were able to open. The mechanisms that require a pole to open and close from inside appear to be broken, and should be repaired or replaced. Second, the only big towel rack in the master bathroom was broken. There should be more towel hooks or racks; this would be an easy fix. Third and lastly, I don't know what it would take to make WiFi available, but it would've been nice to have. Despite these 3 issues, this was a wonderful house to stay in, we were overall very pleased, and would happily stay there again.
The Pros: The home was in a beautiful location, close to the neighborhood fishing pier, lots of deck space and had beautiful views. The rental company was responsive to questions and the housekeepr came by to check on us, which was thoughtful.
The Cons: No TOILETPAPER! No stocked stuff at all really. That was a rude awakening, because you don't think to check until it's too late... :/ So someone had to run out right away to fetch toiletpaper and papertowels. I can almost understand papertowels, but if it is not provided, the renter should make you aware to bring it.
Seriously lacking in privacy - One bedroom (the one with the daybed & trundle) is more like a large hallway, in that you have to pass through it to access the two twin beds bedroom. The bedroom with the two twins is kind of like the "Master" in that it is the only room with a connected private bath. You would likely have difficulty accessing that bedroom if you are utilizing the trundle in the daybed room. Also the person (people) in the daybed room will have no privacy. All of the bedrooms are like caves because none of the hurricane shutters can be opened. I asked the housekeeper and she said she only opens the front door and back door shutters, we would have to open all the rest. I tried and could not open any, so the whole house was dark and not very beachy... more cave-y.
Boat slip - I see the rental company has since updated the listing, but when we booked it promised a boat slip. We brought our 24 foot boat, only to find the owner's boat in the slip. We had to struggle to tie ours up outside the slip, and it had to endure some serious bad weather fully exposed.
All in all, disappointing and kind of embarrassing. I booked it and my folks were not pleased with these issues.
Very nice. Beautiful views.
My family enjoyed ourselves. Fishing was great!
