Summary: This inviting cabin with hot tub is tucked away in the mountains just off beautiful Hwy 67 between Divide and Cripple Creek in the western foothills of Pikes Peak. The perfect place for your mountain retreat, you can enjoy a hot tub soak or a book on the deck without seeing another house from the property, but at the same time it's nestled in a quiet, established rural neighborhood. With easy access to trails and wilderness and a quick drive to restaurants, groceries and shops, Hunter's Ridge cabin is a honeymooner's or family get-away dream.
The Space: There's a living area upstairs and a family room with television and foosball table downstairs, so the kids can watch a movie or play downstairs while you relax by the fire with a glass of wine upstairs. Stay in for a shared meal on the deck or take advantage of the plentiful options for hiking, fishing, boating, horseback riding, history, and other adventures all in close proximity to Hunter’s Ridge. +Summit Pikes Peak on foot from the Crag's Trailhead *Summit Pikes Peak by car via the Pikes Peak Highway 20 min *Try your luck at the casinos in the famous mining town Cripple Creek -- 10 minutes * groceries and gas , to the south and the small town of Divide, CO is 10 minutes away to the north. Divide has the nearest post office, Irish pub, burger joint, craft brewery, gas stations, and a small grocer. Woodland Park which is larger sits about 20 minutes away from Divide and includes a Walmart and more services and restaurants. Colorado Springs is about 40 minutes away. Please message us with any questions as you plan your stay and we'll be happy to make suggestions to match your interests. Turn up the romance with the gas fireplace as you sip your morning coffee or evening cocktails. Grill and chill on the deck with views of Pikes Peak and aspens, fir, and pine trees. Come in the fall to view the stunning changing aspen leaves. On chilly or snowy nights, head downstairs for a round of foosball or a movie, and walk out to the outdoor hot tub on the patio. There's nothing to be compared with a soak in the hot tub while snow falls around you! The downstairs also features a family room with television and a pull out sofa bed as well as the second bedroom.
Guest Access: You have access to the entire home and grounds. There is parking in the driveway in front of the house.
Check in is at 5pm and check out is by 10am. We do our best to accommodate early check in and/or late check out request. We offer these based upon our housekeeping team’s approval as their schedule can be demanding and for an additional fee. Please note, the earliest check in time available is 2pm and the latest check out time we can accommodate is noon.
The Neighborhood: The cabin is located south of HWY 24 by about 10 minutes, literally on the slope of Pikes Peak and right next to Mueller State Park. Cripple Creek is only 20 minutes away. You are in the mountains so you will see wildlife. You may experience interrupted cell reception, so please record directions and all other information you need for your stay in advance. Wifi is available at the cabin and most guests have found it to be reliable although like anywhere bandwidth and connection reliability can vary from time to time.
Getting Around: There are few public transportation options in the area. The cabin is in a neighborhood with dirt roads which are generally well maintained throughout the year. If you are traveling when significant snow is possible (between September and May) please be advised that depending your experience driving in winter weather, a Four Wheel Drive vehicle may be a good idea. Make sure you have the contact information for your AAA membership or insurance provider if you think you may need support.
The home is located about an hour drive from the Colorado Springs Airport and about 2 hours from the Denver Airport.
Other Things to Note: + Sleep in peace on our super soft linens which were laundered in a professional facility to ensure the highest possible amount of viruses and bacteria are utterly destroyed.
+ We reserve the right to collect ID directly from our guests before allowing access to the property. This is in addition to identification you may be asked to provide to the booking platform.
+ This is bear country. Please do not leave any food outdoors or in your car. The garbage bin is located in the shed near the house. Please make sure you put trash in the bear proof bin and secure the lid. As much as possible, please keep any food trash or strong smelling trash inside the cabin until trash collection or your departure.
+ Mail service in the Divide will not deliver packages directly to the house. Mail can be sent to general delivery at the Divide Post Office.
+ No smoking or vaping of any kind is permitted inside the house. Outdoor smoking is permitted and we do not scrutinize what you smoke outside as long as you do it in keeping with house rules and local burn restrictions.
+ No parties, and please observe quiet hours outdoors after 10pm. Hunter's Ridge is in a quiet mountain neighborhood with full-time residents and neighbors will report loud or unsafe partying to the authorities.
+ Photo ID required for all reservations. Minimum age to rent this property is 25.
+ Our team sets out linens appropriate to the number of people on your reservation so please make sure your reservation accurately reflects the number in your party. Be aware that we charge a $30/night fee for additional guests after 4.
+ The Rainbow Valley neighborhood is situated on an accessible but mountainous part of Pikes Peak where there is no municipal water supply. Thus we do pay for a truck to fill our cistern and for this reason we do ask our guests to kindly use water wisely and conservatively. The cistern holds several hundred gallons and is refilled regularly so running out of water is not a concern.
Interaction with Guests: I love helping guests make the most of their time in our beautiful area but I give my guests their space unless I'm asked to help out. I will be available throughout your stay and love to give advice on local restaurants, attractions, and adventures.

For a fun get away from the hustle and bustle look no further than this beautiful forest cabin. Town is close enough that you can still enjoy the luxurious of city life but secluded enough that you can see deer when you wake up in the morning (yes this happened for us).
Clean, well furnished, and in a great location for a quiet and restful vacation. We were very happy with it!

This property was great && definitely worth the stay. I wouldn’t hesitate on booking!!
We had everything we needed for our stay. We love the Mueller Park area and have been going here for years. Very nice to find a completely outfitted cabin accessible to the area attractions.
My family stayed here for a race that one of us ran in Mueller State Park so the cabin location was perfect. The cabin was the perfect size and very clean. Couldn't have asked for anything better!
I was impressed with our stay at Hunter’s Ridge. It was a great retreat at the end of each of our daily activities. It was neat, clean, and most of all, homey!

So glad you enjoyed your stay! We hope to host you again soon.
My Bestie and I chose this place to spend just a little over a week for our getaway . It’s a very nice place, sitting out in the deck was so peaceful, especially at night when all the stars were out.
Owners were very kind, very fast to respond and very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here!
We really enjoyed our visit here. The cabin is so nice and the views are amazing. The location is peaceful but yet not too far from restaurants and supplies. Owners were very quick to response when we had questions. They even recommended a local bakery to get a cake for my husband’s birthday. Wonderful trip!!!

Thank you, Betty! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the cabin. It was an honor to host you for such a special occasion. Please know you are welcome back anytime.
Absolutely loved our stay in this extremely clean and cozy cabin. Kitchen is stocked with dishware, cookware and some grilling supplies which was convenient! The hot tub was extremely inviting once the temperature started to dip at night. We would 100% stay again!
Property was awesome. In an area with a bunch of steep hills this house was easy to get to. Views were beautiful and the house was very clean. The area was very remote, closest small town was 15 minutes away with a small grocery store and a couple restaurants.
This cabin had everything my wife and I needed. We were hiking the area around Divide, Colorado, Mueller State Park was minutes awa.as well as going into Colorado Springs and Woodland Park and just exploring. The hot tub was amazing being surrounded by all the trees.
We were there for a few days over New Year's. It was beautifully appointed. We had had everything we needed. The communication was fantastic. We had a little trouble with the fireplace and they came out and helped us. The hot top was really nice after a cold day in the mountains. Thanks for everything
Quick 2 hour drive, great little getaway if for no other reason than to leave our house for a few days. Interaction with owner/manager was great. Quick responses and no disappointing answers.
Comfy beds, greet hot tub and nice bathrooms. We will definitely be revisiting.

Thank you for choosing our place for your getaway! We're delighted that you had a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we appreciate your positive feedback about our communication and amenities. Looking forward to hosting you again for another relaxing escape in the future.
We had an amazing time! Had deer around the house every morning around 7:00. The location was great and easy to get to places around. We drove thru Mueller State Park every night to see animals $9 day pass. If you have time I would highly recommend driving up to Rocky Mountain National Park…it was AMAZING! Will definitely be back.
The cabin is in a beautiful remote location. There is no AC and for our trip in July the upstairs bedroom was too warm but it was very cool and comfortable downstairs. The cabin needs more indoor lighting as the first floor is gloomy at night. I was most excited about the outdoor deck but the deck definitely needs refurbishing and the outside chairs and picnic table are uninviting and uncomfortable for dining and relaxation. Updating it would make this cabin way more enjoyable as the view is gorgeous and we wanted to spend as much time as possible outside.
The property management was super kind, cool, and accessible. The house itself was beautiful. I enjoyed the cabin, two story vibes. The hot tub overlooks woods and wildlife. They had fresh local coffee and a Chemex in the kitchen for us. Cozy blankets. Comfortable beds. Epic views from the balcony.
