We had a great time here. It was peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful. Lynn, the owner was so nice and friendly. She was accessible and answered any questions we had. We went when there was nobody else staying there so we had the whole campground to ourselves. It was wonderful. We went there to escape from the city. It was everything we could’ve imagined and hoped for and more.

Beautiful & Serene Vacation Spot

My son and I were looking for a place to stay with our dog for my granddaughters graduation in Granville NY. We were lucky to find Andelyn Farms. It is a beautiful place. We rented one of there yurts for our stay, and were very pleased when we saw how lovely it was, we rented the one next to us as well. The owners were lovely. They made sure we had everything we need. I would absolutely stay there again. Anyone looking for a great vacation with beautiful surroundings, Andelyn Farms Yurts have everything you need for a great vacation spot!!

Such a great spot!

Miss Lynne, the property, the wildlife, the animals all feel like home after a couple of hours. The location is scenic, picturesque and perfect for a quick getaway. You don’t actually have to leave the farm to do fun stuff (hiking, kayaking, swimming are all right there), but if you wanted to venture out, there is so much close by. Including Vermont! We took a quick 25 min drive there for dinner and sightseeing. All in all it was a crazy fun weekend for us and our dog, and we are already trying to figure out when we can get back. If you’re still thinking about it, DO IT! You will be so happy you stayed here!!

Hidden Gem

Pictures do not do this location any justice! It’s an absolute hidden gem! The property has a pond and streams where you can watch birds and beaver in their own environment. It’s very peaceful and makes you feel like you have really escaped. The yurts are amazing (comfortable beds and beautiful linens). They are well stocked with everything you would need for a little getaway; the hosts even included milk, English muffins and pastry for our arrival. Don’t even think twice about renting here! I can’t wait to go back!

Amazing!

The description does not do this property justice. Our yurt was clean, stocked with everything we could need and I a beautiful location. The owner was very helpful and we had key things like coffee!, danish and s’mores ingredients waiting for us. My 3 teenage boys loved the whole vibe of the yet, the lake and kayaks and our fire pit right outside. Impressive feat form3 teenage boys to be one with nature and leave tv and their phones behind! Don’t hesitate to book here. It’s a perfect getaway.

Great Get Away !

Adelyn Farm far exceeded my expectations! This glamping venue is more beautiful than the pictures on-line reveal. The yurts are beautifully decorated to reflect the Adirondack environment. We stayed in the smallest yurt, the "Honey Bee". Totally charming. We awoke every morning to the sound of the birds and fell asleep each night to the frog's serenade. The property includes a lovely pond that we were able to paddleboat and kayak on. There's a historical site designated old mill at the end of the pond as you enter the beautiful woodland trails. Peaceful. Paddle boats, kayaks. There's an 1800s barn for small weddings and celebrations. A great place for group gatherings. The owners are exceptional hosts and we will cherish our experience for a lifetime! I highly recommend a stay here. with warm regards, Loretta Rice, Geneva, NY

Home away from home

The owners were amazing! They were on top of everything, always available by text or meeting up around the property, and a fantastic resource for dog friendly places in the area. We had five adults and two dogs in our yurt very comfortably. The yurts are all beautiful (yes, I was lucky enough to see them all)! The details they thought of for making our stay fun, comfortable and relaxing were incredible. If you like camping in any form (yes, they have room for tents too), make a reservation, you won’t be disappointed!!!

About the host

Hosted by Lyn and Andy Sykes

Host profile image
We are Lyn and Andy Sykes, we moved to upstate New York to fulfill a lifelong dream of ours. Lyn worked in the corporate world and for the last seventeen years ran a successful pet sitting company in Fort Worth, Texas. Originally from New Hampshire, Lyn grew up in a hospitality environment with her parents and relatives running a ski lodge, cottages and restaurants. Andy hails from England and came to the United States working as a Computer Scientist, we met at work, fell in love and married. We always knew we wanted a business that could also offer us a new lifestyle and give us more quality time together.

As many have experienced during the Covid-19 Pandemic, our lives took a real turn in 2020. Pet Sitting did not prosper and the Corporate World suffered. Staying at home and thinking made us re-evaluate what we wanted to do with our lives. We have had a dream for years to own and operate our own hospitality business and have been looking for a suitable location. The opportunity to purchase the Gristmill property presented itself in the summer of 2020 and we decided that now was the time for another life change. We sold Lyn’s business and our properties, packed our belongings and our dogs, cats and birds and left Texas in the rear-view mirror with two trips to the Northeast; ready for a new adventure.

...... so here we are in one of the most beautiful properties we could have dreamed of.

Why they chose this property

OUR FARM has a history dating back to the 19th century.

There is a lot to say about our farm and a book was written about the Gristmill located on the property. The main farmhouse was built in 1880 and we have been told the history dates back to the mid 1800s. We have traced the history ourselves through old papers we found that date back to 1888 and the property has been part of the local community for generations. The Wedding and other Barns on the property date back to the late 1800s. We have discovered all kinds of fun things as we have gone from building to building to organize all of the things that have been left behind over the years. Many lives have been shared and memories made at Andelyn Farm.

Currently the property is 108 acres of woodland, farmland and includes a four acre millpond with three streams that feed it, together with extensive walking, hiking, ATV and snowmobile trails. There is plenty of room to be away from it all and put your mind to rest, enjoying the wonder of natural beauty. Plenty of peaceful places to sit, relax and listen to the water enjoying the tranquillity of the ponds and streams. Wander through the meadows and enjoy the array of wild flowers or the woodland walks with many ancient trees, all shapes and sizes. Observe our family of Otters swimming in the mill pond. Spot the birds and listen to their song, watch the bald eagles perched in their favorite tree by the mill pond or soaring through the morning sky and the owls swooping on their prey in the moonlight. The local wildlife is a delight to see as they go about their business in the place, they call home. Last but by no means least, stargazing on a clear night is simply incredible and hard to beat.

What makes this property unique

Andelyn Farm is a unique rural and rustic campground, wedding and event venue located in Upstate New York. Spread over 100-acres, our farm features luxury glamping Yurts and a choice of campground pitches in our woodlands, wildflower meadows or alongside streams and ponds. Our historic Wedding Barn has been lovingly restored to host weddings and events.

With amazing views, lots to explore and do on-site and nearby, Andelyn Farm has everything you could want from a short break or holiday set in nature. The farm is set in an idyllic location with spectacular views and offers a unique overnight great outdoors glamping experience.

Our Yurt tents are uniquely furnished and accessorized to create the ultimate under the stars experience with luxuries to make you feel at home whilst being in the great outdoors. The sound of waking up to the gentle tones of the abundant wildlife is hard to beat. For those who need to stay connected, we have FREE Wi-Fi and good 4G signal.
