We stayed there 3 nights. It was surprising at first to see how small it was on the outside, but the inside is furnished perfectly for overnight stays. We left a foam mattress topper that we bought brand new to soften up the bed and it made a huge difference.Everything was really well designed and placed. We'll be back next year!
Really fun, cute, clean and well laid out tiny house set on a pastoral farm. We really enjoyed our stay here and the hosts were easy to contact. We were here for a sporting event at Grinelle College which was only about a mile away. Great park just down the street with a walking path. Would absolutely stay here again!
The sunsets and sunrises are waiting at your doorstep in this location. That's the key benefit to staying here along with minimal to zero light pollution.
This tiny home was perfect and had everything and more for what I was looking for. Home clean, linen smelled so fresh when I got under the cover. Nice quiet area. Lovely park within walking distance unfortunately the weather was not great so I didn’t get to enjoy. Great communication on checking in and finding tiny home. Would book again.
Second time visiting Grinnell for conference swim meet at Grinnell college. Staying here allows us to let our daughter to nap btwn sessions. The property is peaceful and full of chirping birds. We’ll definitely be back…hoping no one discovers this gem for the same days we need it!
Very clean and welcoming. Set near a heritage farm on the northern outskirts of Grinnell. Futon bed on lower level, actual bed in loft space (watch your head!)
Steep stairs leading up to it.
Bathroom relatively roomy.
“Cosy” is a word that comes to mind. It was fun.
Nice property and the tiny house was great for a one person stay. Bathroom is good sized. I worked remote from the living area. The mini-split works very well and the sleeping loft stayed nice and cool even though the outside temp felt like 102 a couple of the days I was there. Was able to get in some mornings at the Ahrens park driving range as well as some morning walks in. Great experience at the tiny house on the prairie!
The tiny house is situated on a farm, just off a quiet road. I wanted a quiet solo getaway to work and read, and this was perfect. Check-in was super easy. I had a couple of questions about the wifi and the microwave when I arrived, and they quickly made sure everything was taken care of.
The tiny house had plenty of room. I appreciated the extra space heaters when temps plummeted to -10 for two nights. I put a fan in the loft to move the hot air around, and I stayed super toasty. I grabbed a mini humidifier at Walmart because it got so dry. I loved how quiet it was--I heard a distant train horn or two most nights, but I did not hear much traffic (compared to at home). I was able to focus and work, and Grinnell was the perfect location. I hope to be back in town and will stay there again.
