The Hart Flat Hacienda is a ranch retreat nestled in the Tehachapi Mountains. The 4 bedroom, 2.5 baths home sits on a 1,000 acre cattle ranch, in operation since the 1800s. The Hacienda overlooks a pool & hot tub with fire pit, pergola with swinging bed and hanging macrame chairs. Watch the sunrise over the mountains, with coffee on the Spanish-Style patio or take an afternoon hike to watch the sunset. Mountain bike trails, horse stalls, wildlife & so much more! Enjoy the privacy & restore!
The Hacienda
The home is a Spanish-Style Ranch Home, true to the California Ranch lifestyle. Enjoy the earthen colors & warm furnishings, inspired by the natural surroundings. All mattresses are memory foam and each room has its own unique style. The home is perfect for bridal showers, small retreats, family vacations, mountain biking getaways & horseback riding adventures. The property offers a corral, with water and shelter for our visiting equestrians.
Other Property Features:
The Hacienda is surrounded by an operational 1,000 acre cattle ranch. Guests are welcome to explore the property via bike, hike, vehicle and horseback. There are miles of natural surface roads and trails that are perfect for biking, hiking and riding (Additional release waivers required). The property has tons of wildlife, native trees, wildflowers and views for days! There is ample parking for vehicles and trailers!
Additional Notes:
Property is equipped with exterior security cameras and interior alarm system for security purposes. The property hosts are committed to quality and providing an experience of excellence.
While this is a new property to the vacation rental market, the hosts are local business owners, commercial property managers and well known in the Tehachapi & Keene Communities. They care deeply about their clients and are all about happy guests and building lasting memories!

Today, they spend the bulk of their professional time coaching & consulting entrepreneurs and business owners, conducting leadership development workshops and trainings, and serving in their communities. Their greatest commitment and passion are their 3 children. They believe in chasing adventure, creating lasting memories and relishing exceptional experiences. They are committed to providing the same level of experience to their guests.
Why they chose this property
This historic 1,000 acre active cattle ranch has been in our family for generations. We purchased the ranch and built the hacienda for recreation and restoration. The ranch has been in operation since 1854. The house and surrounding landscape and amenities, were thoughtfully designed and crafted to compliment and reflect the natural surroundings. The intention was to foster a closeness with the outdoors, that inspires guests to slow down, be in the moment, to rest and to restore.
What makes this property unique
The hacienda is built with California Rancho Style and has a huge front patio that invites guests to relax and enjoy the stunning pool, hot tub and views. The hanging bed, swinging chairs, fire pit, pool & hot tub were all designed to create an experience of relaxation. The property is teaming with wildlife and grand vistas. It's conveniently located off of Highway 58 and is a 15 minute drive to Historic Downtown Tehachapi.
