Rustic and simplistic beauty define this lovingly built log cabin with breath-taking views of the open Pacific ocean. A meandering trail through old growth forest takes you to the doorstep of this warm and cosy private one bedroom cottage. There is a sofa bed in the living room for extra guests or a family of 4. Just a 10 min walk to beautiful Tonquin Beach and Park and just 5 minutes to the village of Tofino.

Relax on the large, sun-drenched west facing cedar deck with book in hand while savouring the sights and sounds of the West Coast, a true delight to the senses. Equally exciting, experience winter storms, crashing waves, wind and invigorating weather on long solitary beach walks or, from the warm and cozy inside of Gold's cottage.

The large oceanfront acreage is home to some of Tofino's last old growth trees.

Please note: To provide a true retreat, there is NO WiFi at the cabin. Also, there is a gravel trail through the woods leading up to the Cabin and some stairs which may be difficult for those with mobility difficulties. A wheelbarrow is located at the beginning of the trail to assist in carrying your luggage and groceries from the car.
During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps.

Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbours and locals!

Accidental Damage Protection: The occasional accident is bound to happen during your holiday. The ADP covers accidental damages of up to $1000, provided damages are reported to Tofino Vacation Rentals before your check-out in writing. The ADP is a mandatory fee of $10 per night that is included in your nightly rate.

Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30 day cancellation policy from September through June and a 60 day policy from July through August. If you provide us with the 30 or 60 days required notice you will receive a full refund (minus a $73.50 non-refundable processing fee). If you cancel without the required days notice you will not receive a refund for your reservation.

Beautiful Oceanside Cottage

This property was absolutely fantastic and all pictures and info on the listing were accurate. It was so great to have our own little escape in nature here - perfect for our family with toddlers. The view is breathtaking, the cabin is comfortable and has everything that you need for your stay. If/when we make it back to Tofino in the future, we would look to stay at this property again. Highly recommend!

Perfect retreat

I loved staying in this cabin. I appreciated the minimal character of the cabin, no tv, no wifi, basic setup.. it fit in perfectly with the nature surrounding it. Would love to stay here again

beautiful cabin in the woods with amazing water view

we loved the place, the large balcony with incredible view was fantastic, and the whole thing was really lovely. But we were a little annoyed to find out there was no wi-fi only upon getting there (the info online says 'click here' for wi-fi info, which we assumed to mean passcode/etc, so we didn't do that until we'd arrived, and when we did click we found out it said 'no wifi'. Seems a bit like the owners were trying to hide that fact...) Since we were there a short period it was fine, but had we booked for longer we would have needed wifi and been pretty annoyed.

What makes this property unique

There is no WiFi at this cottage which provide the perfect escape to unplug and relax. The views from the back deck are breath taking all time of the day. There is a long boardwalk that is lined with tall old growth trees and a wheel barrel provided to help bring your luggage to and from the area where you park your vehicle.
