New, Modern, Steps away from Chesterman Beach!

Welcome to White Bear Cottage, a brand new, modern and stunning retreat just steps away from the breathtaking Chesterman Beaches. This two-storey, two bedroom, one bath cottage wraps you in a west coast mix of salvaged, recycled and sustainable materials, with modern accents of cedar, reclaimed wood, concrete floors, steel beams and an outdoor private surf shower. This space creates both a warm and inspiring setting for your enjoyment.
The cottage is a fully detached building, perched on the side of the lot, facing south along the edge of the lush forest. The main floor boasts an open concept living room and kitchen area, with a large island for dining and conversation. For those who prefer to dine al fresco, a covered front patio includes a dining table and outdoor seating, creating the perfect setting for warmer days. Inside, you’ll find a cozy and inviting space featuring bedrooms with a minimalist, yet functional setup, including queen beds, reclaimed, live-edge wood wardrobe and bedside tables. Upstairs, you'll enjoy a mezzanine space, to sneak away and work or indulge in some yoga or stretching after your time in the water. The cottage uses a combination of heat pump heating with bedroom baseboards for efficient and sustainable comfort in this well-insulated home.

Please note: the vintage style living room couches have been replaced by two grey upholstered couches.

3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays. Please note: If you receive a 'Host unavailable " message yet the calendar appears open please send a message as we can override our software to allow for the booking that creates a gap if it is during a non peak time/season or if it is last minute.

No parties or events allowed-very strict

Age min is 25. Please do not submit a request to book if you have a group larger than 4 guests.

We will allow 1 Dog ONLY. Please do not submit a request for a second dog. Very Strict! $50 plus taxes. Sorry no cats allowed.

Please note: The property owner (a family with young children and a friendly dog) live onsite in the main house and occupy the home year round and act as the long term tenants, as per Tofino Bylaw. The main house is located behind the Cottage. The owners are currently updating the property landscaping and main house behind the rental.

Enforced Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - We kindly request that all our guests extend their consideration towards minimizing noise both inside and outside the premises after 10pm. Our vacation rentals are situated in peaceful residential areas where children attend school and adults are working. Thank you for your understanding!

Accidental Damage Protection: The occasional accident is bound to happen during your holiday. The ADP covers accidental damages of up to $1000, provided damages are reported to Tofino Vacation Rentals before your check-out in writing. The ADP is a mandatory fee of $10 per night that is included in your nightly rate.

Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30 day cancellation policy from September through June and a 60 day policy from July through August. If you provide us with the 30 or 60 days required notice you will receive a full refund (minus a $73.50 non-refundable processing fee). If you cancel without the required days notice you will not receive a refund for your reservation.
