***NUBBLE RD. NOW HAS SAFE SIDEWALKS FOR A SAFE WALK TO THE BEACH***

Large, country kitchen with sliders to sunny deck, perfect for viewing nature, barbecue, or enjoying the outdoor fire pit. A tasteful living room, with lots of seating, has an opened staircase and balcony. Enclosed French doors lead to the family room where kids can enjoy a game, or watch one of the many videos provided. The first floor has bathroom shower and laundry room, kitchen with pantry, comfortable bedroom with seating, living room and family room. Upstairs has a huge master bedroom and two large guest bedrooms. There is a separate tub and shower, toilet cabinet and vanity, designed to accommodate multiple uses. There is also a hot outside shower, great to rinse the salt. Just a short walk to long sands or short sands beach, the light house, Brown's ice-cream, Foxes' restaurant. Nearby is the arcade, amusement park, zoo playground, outlet shopping, museums, play house and only 1 hour to Boston, less to Portland and Manchester.


This lovely country home is at the end of a long driveway on the largest lot on the Nubble, yet just a stone's throw to the ocean. It is a haven of wild life, dear, fox and birds. Fresh blueberries and blackberries line the driveway, weaving around the granite boulders, just off the busy Nubble Road. The seclusion makes it a safe place for children to play and a paradise to explore. A large fire pit is a wonderful place to gather and sing camp fire songs with the family. A short walk to the Light House is a beautiful place to view the moon over the ocean. Or walk to Brown's, the best homemade ice-cream in Maine. Rinse off in the hot outside shower after your walk back from the beach. Kick your heels up on the deck, wine in hand and pinch yourself.

We had a fantastic stay at this vacation rental! The house was clean, spacious, and easily accommodated our group of 10 with plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. Communication with the owner was excellent—quick, clear, and helpful throughout. The location was perfect, situated conveniently between the beaches and the town, making it easy to enjoy both. Highly recommend for a relaxing and well-located getaway!

Great location situated between short sands ( 20 min walk) and long sands ( 15 min walk) and easy walk to Nubble light house. We enjoyed the two living rooms, equipped with many DVD options and cable ( had to watch the Red Sox of course). With a wagon, it was easy to walk our supplies to the beach each day. We also enjoyed the fire pit and the porch. We walked to the zoo and to the playground in Short Sands. We rented baby gates for our toddler which worked well for the porch. Also has an outdoor shower and a supply of kid beach toys. Would certainly stay again!

Family vacation

Tim was a gracious host who helped us out at the last minute when another property fell through. We were a family of 9 and there was plenty of room to spread out when in the house, and the furniture was comfortable. There was outdoor space for child play that was very safe. The doors on the living room with the TV were a plus, allowing others to have quiet. The walk to the beaches was easy. The location is secluded and very quiet, even though it was close to everything,it was a very family friendly house.

Great multi-family vacation home.

My family of 3, my sister and her 4 and my mother shared this home last week. It was just the right size for us at the right price. It rained a good bit so we didn’t get to use the fire pit or the back deck much but they both are great. We did have two raccoons come every night to the back deck however. They really weren’t afraid of people but some in our group were a little freaked out by that. The house is at the end of a dirt road surrounded by woods so is very private but also bring critters with it, like the raccoons and some deer (which she loved!). I do have to share that I would not recommend this house if you want to walk to the beach with your family. Our 4 boys are 12-16 and we didn’t want them walking. The nubble road does not have sidewalks and is a fairly busy road with tourists and locals driving up and down. It is .7 miles to either beach and that can be a long walk with all your beach stuff. Up until Friday it was no problem to park at Long Sands but once the weekenders got there you had to get there very early to ensure a spot or head down to Short Sands, where the parking is less challenging. We have been going to York since the 70’s and live Long Sands. Timothy was fantastic to work with and his home is in great condition with everything you need for a family vacation.

Great location

Great location. An easy walk and a pretty walk to Long Sands. Owner was great to work with. Plenty of room in the house with four bedrooms and two living rooms. The walk to Short Sands was reasonable for older kids/ adults.

Disappointed

This property meets minimal standards but desperately needs maintenance attention and a good cleaning. It is in an excellent location, however, not everything is the way it is described. It was the accumulation of problems that is unacceptable given the price paid to stay at this location. On arrival, the bathroom light was not working and we purchased and replaced the light bulb (this was odd since the owner indicated that the cleaning staff had been there hours before). The kitchen had minimal supplies and, for example, we were surprised that there were no baking pans at all and the "sharp" knives were actually not sharp (this has generally not been my experience with VRBO properties). During our stay we saw evidence of mice in disturbed food in the kitchen. We caught 3 adult mice leading us to conclude that they had been there awhile. The dishwasher did not work and appeared to have broken down at some point before we arrived as there was a soap tablet still in the dispenser. We also could not use the jacuzzi tub as the drain lever is stuck and does not move up and down. Finally, the yard has minimal maintenance, the "fire pit" is overgrown and weeds are growing up through the deck. We made the best of the situation. This could be a nice property if it were properly maintained.

Quiet location

This house was perfect for our family. Very spacious and well layed out. Lots of birds and wild life. Great for kids, on dead end road. The owner was very nice to work with.

Clean and Comfortable!

Great place to make more memories! The home was perfect for our family! Plenty of room to spread out if we wanted to but very comfortable space to enjoy being together. Close walk to Nubble Light and Dunne’s Ice Cream. Hope to be back next year for another fun filled vacation!

Perfect vacation spot

Mt husband and I, our daughter and three if our grandchildren rented this home for our family vacation in York ME. This house was beautiful and spacious, as well as the perfect place to sit and relax after a day at the beach, or a say sight seeing. We found the home very clean and had everything we needed for our week stay. Tim and his wife are so nice, and very helpful. They offered great information on places nearby and the best places to go, even where one can find the best ice cream ever! When we head to Maine, we certainly look forward to staying in this beautiful home again.

Vacationing in York

If you're looking for a great vacation home near the coast, this is the place to go. I rented this home for a family vacation with my son, daughter and their spouses and 4 grandchildren. What a wonderful week! The house was spacious, clean and nicely furnished. Upon my arrival, Tim called to check in and see if there was anything we needed. There was plenty of room, very nicely layed out. I loved the fact that it had hard wood floors and not carpet. Both my kids have allergies and had no problems at all. We were close to Long Sands and Short Sands beaches which was about a half mile walk. It worked great to put the "little ones" in the stroller or the wagon and walk to the beach, the shops etc. We had planned on buying fresh seafood and cooking it until we discovered the "Fisherman's Dock Restaurant ". What a great place to eat, the service is wonderful and the food, superb! It was nice to be close to everything, the beach, shopping, amusement park/zoo, restaurants, fishing. Everything you could possibly want. If you're looking for a great place to vacation, I highly recommend this property rental.

The best vacation in Maine

We were very happy to rent this house. It was impeccable and confortable for 8 adults and 2 kids. We specialy like the second living-room with television for the kids that was seperated from the rest of the appartements. All the rooms were clean and the beds were confortable. We all had a great time and we will come back and refered this house to all. Note; near ; zoo, parc, village, play ground and beach. Therrien Family Nous avons passé un moment magnifique à York Beach et la maison était très propre et confortable pour 9 personnes. Le 2ième salon avec télévision était très apprécier des enfants et adultes! La plage est superbe. Nous avons eu des vacances formidables et nous recommandons cette résidence qui est dans un endroit tranquille pas trop près des voisins. Nous y reviendrons certainement l'été prochain. A noter; près des activités; zoo, village, jeux, parcs et plages. La famille Therrien

Our summer week in York

Every summer my husband and I and our 3 kids, spouses, & grandkids spend a week together at the ocean, and this summer was especially wonderful because our rental property was superb! The owners had provided everything possible (even a treasure chest of toys for the kids!) to make us feel comfortable in their beautiful home. Bedrooms were spacious, 2 separate living rooms IDEAL for filling everyone's needs, the kitchen roomy and well-furnished (our sons and son-in-law took turns making prize-winning dinners!), and the fire circle out back was a great way to end the evening. We found everything spotless, and the beds comfortable -- definitely a 5* place. We would recommend this house highly. Wish we could have stayed longer!!
