North of Søndervig, Houvig nestles in a hilly nature area, separated from the wide white sandy beach only by a single row of dunes. Within reach, the vacationer can choose from all imaginable activities: Golf, tennis, windsurfing, hang gliding and much more. The sport fisherman can prove his talent on organized deep-sea trips or fish in one of the many put & take lakes as well as in the Fish and Family Park West in Hee near Ringkøbing, where the other members of the family will also have plenty of opportunities to enjoy themselves. If the weather is more conducive to a museum visit, you can check out the interesting collection of vintage aircraft at Stauning Airport or the St. George Stranding Museum in the charming fishing village of Thorsminde. The latter can display an exquisite collection of rare items from English warships, including wreckage from the two warships that sank in 1811 with 1400 men.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und es war fast alles vorhanden.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und es war fast alles vorhanden. Eierbecher und Löffel waren nur für 3 Personen da und das Haus ist für 8 Personen ausgelegt 😁Wir kamen mit 2 Hunden und fanden den angekündigten Zaun nicht mehr vollständig vor 🙈 das war schon ein kleiner Schock, aber der restliche Zaun hat uns dann noch gereicht. Jedoch ist der Holzboden komplett erneuert worden und dies hat uns natürlich sehr gefreut.Die Weg zum Strand ist zu Fuß, gut zu erreichen und der Strand ein Traum. Wir kommen gerne wieder und geben dem Haus 4 Sterne 🤩Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit, die wir in Houvig hatten.

Heerlijk huis in stille omgeving in de duinen vlak bij de zee.Ruim, vrij uitzicht en leuke uitvalsbasis om voor een paar dagen de omgeving te verkennen. St. George is een leuk en boeiend museum om te bezoeken b.v. Het huis was niet helemaal schoon. M.n. het buitenmeubilair niet. Ook nog spullen in de afwasmachine. Senseo-koffie-apparaat deed het niet. Ook nog oud water in diverse apparaten. Maar desalniettemin een fijne plek om te zijn. Niet echt een goede fietsomgeving helaas.
