Home away from home
We had a wonderful stay in a very warm and comfortable home. The community is great for walking. The home is well stocked and the layout is great for privacy. The space above the garage worked perfectly for a home office as well. The owners and host are accommodating and friendly, as well as all of the gate attendants. We have fond memories of our extended stay here. Our home away from home, while we finished construction a new home nearby. Best vrbo we've stayed in.

A Splendid Choice!
This was our second stay at this home. The first visit was excellent. This visit was better! My grandchildren and adult children enjoyed the recently added hot tub and a converted living space that now has a regulation length pool table and mounted television. Located in a private area with a security gate maintained by unfailingly friendly security guards, the home is just about half way between Highlands and Cashiers. Many homes list a concierge when in reality the "concierge" is really nothing more than another online contact. This concierge provided timely and up-to-date information prior to the visit, met us at the home with fresh flowers and wine and patiently walked through the details of the home. Who does that? My wife and I really enjoyed the private apartment above the garage, especially when we needed quiet time from our adult children and our grandchildren! We certainly plan to return to this splendid choice when visiting the Highlands area.

Fabulous rental house in a sought after neighborhood
My family and I enjoyed the most perfect vacation in this lovely home. The house was very clean, well maintained and had everything you need. And the location was just perfect. Right in between Highlands and Cashiers… the best of both worlds! We will definitely be back!

Great property in Highlands!
Our family recently spent a week here and loved it. The house is spacious and well appointed with a beautiful view across a lake/pond to the golf course. We had a newborn in our party and the separate quarters were a bonus. Lastly, communication with the property manager (Janet) was awesome. Highly recommend!

Excellent!!!
This well-maintained home was perfect for us. It was clean, comfortable, spacious, and had a fully equipped kitchen. We spent time relaxing by the cozy fireplace and enjoying the gorgeous views from the enclosed porch and back deck. We even saw deer stroll by on the golf course. Janet, the concierge, was wonderful to work with from the moment we sent our initial inquiry until our departure. We would highly recommend staying in this home.

The Giachos family loves to play golf, tennis and hike. After traveling to the Highlands area to visit friends, they knew this had to be a long term travel destination. They have purchased this home to enjoy when they can but would like others to enjoy it when they cannot. Here's to making memories in Lodge at the Lake.

Why they chose this property

Enjoy great weather during the months where it's hot everywhere else! Incredible, cool weather during the summer months is what keeps people coming to this area year after year. Outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, golfing, zip-lining, and white water rafting are just a few of the summer time activities that we enjoy (and all within 5 miles). Tubing, skiing, and snowboarding are popular winter activities in this area.

Designer touches are just the beginning when it comes to describing this property. From the moment you walk in, you'll notice details that are only found in the nicest five star vacation properties in the area. The owners have taken special care to ensure that this is a place that you'll return to often.

What makes this property unique

This home is in Highlands in the middle of both downtown Highlands and Cashiers. Very easy to get to with no steep mountains to drive through to get to this house.
