The Mountain Top Lodge is a beautiful property! Every view at every angle was incredible.
The Mountain Top Lodge is a beautiful property! Every view at every angle was incredible. The kitchen was perfect for preparing large family dinners each night. So many activities for the kids. We will definitely be returning! Everyone was so friendly and helpful!
We had a great time with our family this weekend in Talking Rock! There were 14 of us (full house) and we used almost every amenity - hot tub, grill, air hockey, basketball hoop, yard games, every kitchen appliance - and everything worked great. The views are breathtakingly gorgeous and the property very private and quiet. Bat watching off the deck at night was really cool and there are a ton of beautiful moths. The property was exactly as advertised.
We did pick up some things at Walmart that made the weekend much easier (hope this is helpful for future guests): toilet paper (only 1 roll per bathroom provided), paper towels (only 1 roll provided), dish soap (a couple little bottles provided), hand soap (none in bathrooms), olive oil/spices/seasonings, trash bags (3 provided), blankets (it gets chilly at night), foil/Saran wrap, towels for the hot tub.

Lovely views. We had a great time spending it with our family on the 4th for a place we could stay during our wedding week. We were just 9 minutes from our venue and it was stunning sitting out on the deck with a view of the mountains when our family arrived! The deck needs some work, the landscaping needs help and a lawn mower was left on the side of the driveway too close we had to be really careful not to hit it.There was a leak in the ceiling in the master bathroom shower when the shower upstairs was running but luckily was just leaking into the shower- does pose a mold risk though. The bedroom downstairs in the corner by the hot tub had a leak in the wall that was pretty substantial when a thunderstorm came through but thankfully the great customer service called us back almost immediately and addressed it.Just some minor maintenance issues and landscaping could use a bit of assistance (the fire pit was not pretty & looked like it had been 10 years since anyone put any fresh gravel on the backyard- the weed fabric was showing everywhere. Not 8000 worth but the memories of our family will last forever in a good space for the number of people you can host.
This was our first time to travel to the Georgia mountains and we were most impressed! We absolutly loved the house and the setting on top of the mountain. The home is beautiful and well maintained and in an ideal location. The home allows for gatherings on multiple levels and has great games for entertainment (ping pong, basketball, air hockey). We loved Ellijay and the restaurants as well as the shopping; however, we made the decision that the house was even more fun so we used the firepit, played games and cooked in the fantastic kitchen. We will return to Ellijay and we will stay in this home again!
