Very cool place in the country to stay. Very pastoral and calming. Farm animals in an adjoining pasture with treats provided. Due to day/night outdoor temperature variations, the host stopped by to ensure we had the correct thermostat settings for our comfort. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

Swallow's Rest

We have stayed before at Swallow's Rest. It is peaceful, in the country, and has friendly critters (goats; pony; chickens). It is close to Longwood Gardens and several museums. We love the spot!

Wonderful location! Set in nice and quite farm country. Beautiful rustic beams in downstairs area. Small kitchen is useful to make a simple breakfast to start your day. Convenient controls for the AC so you can set to temp you like. Beautiful little patio area you relax at the end of the day sipping a glass of wine if you want. Close to shopping area and restaurants. Shirt to the fabulous Long Wood Gardens a must when you are in the area. Had great time there.
