We recently returned from a 2 week stay at Villa Larmes. On arrival we thought the property was nice, large bedrooms and nice areas to socialise. Location good, short drive to local supermarket, petrol station and plenty of restaurants within 15 minute drive.Unfortunately we had the following issues: 1. Not enough hot water - there were 10 of us staying in the property and the hot water would run out after 3 or 4 of us had showered. We raised the issue with the host who said there is a 300 litre tank and we must be taking too long showers! We were showering as quick as possible and even turning the water off when washing to conserve water but still would run out of hot water.2. The biggest and main issue was the swimming pool. After 2 days we noticed the pool started turning green, unfortunately this just got worse and worse as our stay went on. The neighbour who looks after the pool tried to solve the issue but couldn’t. They assured us that the pool was perfectly safe to swim in but a simple google tells you that you should not swim in a green pool. It was filthy, there was algae / grime all along the edges, on the steps and at the bottom of the pool. I am 7 months pregnant and cannot risk getting ill from a dirty pool! The day before we left they partially emptied the pool, but it was still green when refilled. We booked the villa for the large pool and as we couldn’t use it we felt our holiday was ruined.

Patches of algae / grime after the pool had been partially emptied and refilled
Brushing the step of the pool after it had been refilled still full of algae / grime
Scum / grime line around the green pool
