Everything you could possibly want to do is available at the home or 5 to 15 minutes away. The bathrooms were nice and the beds were cozy. What more could you ask for??

Seemed like we were in the wilderness with a river for kayaking near the back yard but we’re only 10 min from down town. House is lovely and spacious- pictures did not do it justice! Accommodated the whole family with not being cramped- would recommend this property!
GREAT location, close to so many things yet tucked away from the chaos!
Lesley was amazing to work with, she was accommodating to our needs and responded quickly to questions.
Very nice home with plenty of room for our family of 13.
Away from all the hustle of the city yet really close to town and beach. Quiet and woodsy with activities along river and ten minutes to beach. Nice get away with lots to do at the house. Loved the campfires in the evening.
My extended family really enjoyed staying there. Having three levels of the house and full kitchen in the lower level gave everyone the privacy and at the same time gathering in the large dining room gave an opportunity for bonding. Canoeing/ kayaking in the river was fun and gave us the flexibility to enjoy it at our convenience. The beach was closeby and easily accessible. Overall highly recommend it.
I had a really nice time at this property. It was really clean and well furnished. We had a great time with all of the fun things left for us (ping pong, archery, fishing). All who attend said the same, we would go back in a heartbeat.

Our family decided to move back to Michigan from the Chicago area last year partly to be closer to our family and partly because we have always loved the Lake Michigan shoreline with its quaint little beach towns and sandy dunes. It was a crazy year for trying to find a house but we felt so blessed when we where able to purchase this home on the Black River. One of the first things I fell in love with was the sense of peace and tranquillity that permeates the home. I love the wooded views from every window and the sound of birds chirping when I sit on the deck that overlooks the river. I also love the many bedrooms. I have 5 children and wanted to have a place that would accommodate large gatherings and that would offer a lot of fun things to do. It’s been a blast to bicycle, fish and kayak with my teenagers before heading to the beach or grabbing ice cream from Sherman’s. It truly is a special place for families to build long lasting memories.
