The house was amazing!! Accommodated my whole family perfectly !! Could have used a few more glasses. And possibly a few more plates & silverware. We had a fabulous week & will definitely be back to stay here again !!
The house was great for our group of 11. The number of beds and bathrooms allowed for everyone to be comfortable. The rec space was enjoyable and the large living room allowed us to be together.
The property exceeded our expectations in quality, size and location.

Kitchen lacked tools. Only 1fridge for 15 people. Microwave size was ridiculously small. Hand mixer with only 1 beater did not work. Old pots and pans. Had to buy a can opener, garbage bags, WD 40 for all the sweating doors. House was very chilly.
Awesome house. Plenty of space for a big family or group of friends. We used it all - incredible great room on main level; big fun game room downstairs; well equipped, roomy kitchen. Plus close to restaurants, grocery store, parks and hiking trails.
Our family of 7 grandparents, parents, and grandchildren enjoyed our stay. Great view, fun table games for the kids, nice and very well-equipped kitchen. Plenty of bedrooms/baths. Enjoyed the hot tub.
Suggest adding some comfortable seating in the living room and a chair in each bedroom.
Seven adults, a teenager and a child fit very easily into this large home. It's a beautiful property with a firepit perfect for s'mores. Went to the Highland Games, great fun!

Lots of space but this is an older home in desperate need of home maintenance. The home is for sale so I think the owners have let it go a bit. Mold on the grout in the primary suite shower. Mold on the shower curtain in the jack and jill bathroom. Pet hair on the furniture. Kitchen is not well stocked. Most of the pots and pans are unusable because they are in such bad condition. Did not even open the hot tube because the outside was so dirty we were not going to risk using it. Great location. Check in process was seamless.
Excellent location. Loved the large play area on the first floor.
Beds were comfortable. The house was not clean. The appliances in the kitchen were not clean. Lots of dust in family room. Pieces of games and food wrappers were on floor in family room. Great house but needs better cleaning service
The size of the house was good. Furnished well. Comfortable beds and stocked well. The game room was great. Kids and adults enjoyed it. Good location. But don't go expecting any views. Nice yard. With that said, for the price paid it should have been very clean but it wasn't. All the appliances need a through cleaning. The shower in the master bath needed to scrubbed and also the other full bathtub on the main floor. The tub had dried soap scum from the previous renters. The jacuzzi tub drain leaked pretty fast and there needs to be instructions on how to turn the jets on. Could not use the gas grill outside because it looked as if it had never been cleaned. The carpet in the basement needed to be cleaned. Also need blinds or something at the sliding glass doors in the basement! Anyone could just stand there and look in the doors. I would think that's where the kids/teens would stay if bringing a family.

Disappointed
The house was dirty when we arrived. The management sent the cleaning crew back out and they didn’t accomplish much. The master shower is so dirty from mildew that it can’t really be cleaned. Same with the upstairs bathroom toilet. You could write your name in the dust on many different surfaces. The lack of blinds over the doors downstairs and the window in the upstairs bedroom has been mentioned in prior reviews but never actually addressed. Management sent someone to replace some non-functional kitchen appliances and a vent filter that was caked with dust.
The house is in a quiet neighborhood near Banner Elk with easy access to all the area has to offer. It’s on a fairly large piece of land and so feels private. There is nothing in the way of a view aside from the surrounding trees.
This is an old house which needs some significant attention and upgrading to justify its nightly rate.
My family and I loved this house. We have 5 children under the age of 11 and the house was perfect. The kitchen, dining room, and outdoor patio are all very spacious and allow enough space for all of us. House was very clean and beds were also clean and comfy. The downstairs game room area was great for all ages. We will definitely return.
