Convenient comfort in the midst of the mountains of the Grossglockner

The somewhat different holiday- in a romantic destination in the midst of the mountains! Our Edelweißalm is located at the foot of the Grossglockner massif in the valley of the Käfertal. Here you have the opportunity a few days to escape the daily grind and to contemplate nature once with different eyes.
Fully furnished house for 9 persons; each floor can be used as a separate dwelling unit by itself can- offers the holiday residence of two families.
The hot water is heated by an electric boiler, the lower floor by means of electric heating, the upper floor is additionally a wood-floor heating. The current for the hut is generated by its own power plant.

Wir haben ein unglaublich tolles Wochenende auf der Hütte verbracht. Das letzte Stück der Auffahrt ist abenteuerlich aber absolut machbar. Die Hütte ist ein Traum und mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt. Wer Ruhe und die Berge sucht ist hier genau richtig. Schöner gelegen gibt es kaum!

Wir waren Super zufrieden mit allem. Die Hütte ist super eingerichtet und in der grillhütte kann man super einen Abend verbringen. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Kurt und seine Familie waren sehr freundlich und sehr bemüht das alles tip top auf der Hütte ist. Die Landschaft ist wunderschön

Ein Traum von einer Almhütte

Wir waren als Familie unterwegs. 4 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder und 2 Hunde. Die Almhütte biete genügend Platz. Ist top ausgestattet und liegt inmitten der Natur mit einem grandiosen Blick auf die Bergwelt. Auch wenn das Wetter nicht mitgespielt hat, haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Grillkota ist ein Traum. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über den Besuch des Vermieters. Kurti hat uns einiges über die Alm und die Hütte erzählt. Von der Hütte aus kann man direkt ausgedehnte Wanderungen unternehmen. Ein besonderes Highlight ist die Zufahrt zur Alm. Die ersten Kilometer gehen durch das schöne Käfertal auf einer Schotterpiste. Die letzten 2,5 km sind dann das reinste Abenteuer. Auf einem zum Teil ausgewaschenen Weg geht es bergaufwärts mit einigen Kehren zur Alm. Unsere Autos haben den Weg mit einigen Schrammen am Unterboden geschafft. Ist man erstmal auf der Alm weiß man warum man diesen Weg auf sich genommen hat.

Un lieu magique !

Un endroit propice à la marche. Un accueil du propriétaire irréprochable, qui même, sans parler la même langue, a tout fait pour nous donner les informations nécessaires à un séjour agréable. La maison est située en hauteur avec pour seuls voisins, un refuge et un agriculteur à plusieurs mètres. Une maison loin de tout, mais pourtant bien équipée, avec ce petit plus de la cabane «barbecue» offrant des soirées autour d'un feu magique ! Évitez de venir avec une voiture trop basse, même si c'est faisable, nous l'avons fait. Nous recommandons vivement cette location et remercions grandement son propriétaire pour sa gentillesse et sa bienveillance.

Tolle Unterkunft für 9 Personen

Tolle Hütte, wenn man die Einsamkeit liebt. Am Besten alles mitbringen was man braucht, Läden sind weit weg (genau was uns gefällt). Vermieter ist total unkompliziert und kümmert sich um alles. Die Grillkota ist der Hammer. Die Anfahrt ist nichts für Ängstliche.

Abenteuer almurlaub

Perfekte Abwicklung von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise. Durch unerwartete 50cm Neuschnee war unsere Abreise gefährdet, jedoch haben die Vermieter alles menschenmögliche gemacht und wir konnten Schluss endlich sicher abreisen. Vielen Dank dafür nochmal! Traumhafte Idylle für Sommer und Winter werden es sicher wieder buchen.

Tolle Hütte, hier kann man Entspannen

Auf der Hütte gibt es eigentlich alles was das Herz begehrt, die Grillhütte ist ein toller Aufenthaltsort zum essen und abends wenn es etwas kühler wird. Für das Sportliche wohl ist gesorgt, hier kommt jeder auf seine Kosten.

Tolle Hütte in schöner Lage

Die Hütte ist sauber und gemütlich. Das Einzige, das mir persönlich fehlte, ist ein gemütlicher Kaminofen. Dann wäre das Hüttenfeeling perfekt gewesen. Es gibt einige schöne Wanderungen, die man von der Hütte aus starten kann. Zum Beispiel in ca. 2,5 Std. zur Pfandlscharte (2660m) und wer Zeit hat, kann von dort bis zum Großglocknerhaus weiter wandern (nochmal ca. 2,5 Std.).

Unser zweites Zuhause

Zum 7. mal waren wir nun auf dieser traumhaften, nahezu alleinstehenden Hütte (jedoch bekommt man von der Trauneralm und den Sennleuten nicht viel mit). Man hat wirklich seine Ruhe. Viele verschiedene Freunde haben mit uns die Aufenthalte genossen. Einige Touren kann man direkt von der Hütte aus starten. Für andere wandert man erst zurück ins Tal, wo man auch ausgedehnte Spaziergänge ohne Steigung absolvieren kann. Ein Highlight ist die seit einigen Jahren bestehende Grillhütte- Platz für ca 10 Leute-, in der viele unvergessliche Abende stattfinden. Die Hütte war immer sauber und gepflegt. Es würde unendlich viel zu erzählen geben,...

Sehr schöne Hütte mitten in der Natur. Besonders schön ist die Grillhütte. Man sollte alles was man benötigt mitnehmen, da der Weg ins Tal länger dauert. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

Gemütliche Hütte abseits vom Trubel in toller Natur

Wir waren mit 6 Erw. / 3 Kindern (4-7) eine Woche auf der Hütte. Wunderbare Natur, tolle Umgebung, nette "Nachbarn" (Alm) und ein sehr zuvorkommender Vermieter. Die Ausstattung der Hütte ist rustikal, es fehlt jedoch eigentlich an gar nichts. Der Fernseher war für die Kleinen von Anfang an uninteressant; es gab soooo viel zu entdecken! Für die Erwachsenen bietet sich die Grillhütte, die Terrasse und verschiedene Wandertouren an. Aussicht und Umgebung toll. Viele Möglichkeiten in der Umgebung. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!! 3 kleine "negative" Punkte: - Anfahrt auf die Alm (3,5 km im Tal, weitere 3,5 km mit 400 hm zur Alm) ist nur auf engen, steilen Feldwegen möglich. Nach mehreren Stürmen war der Weg in schlechtem Zustand. Definitiv nicht für jedes Fahrzeug und für Fahrer mit Höhenangst geeignet. - Strom wird für die Alm über ein kleines Kraftwerk gewonnen. Zu den Melkzeiten kann es leicht passieren, das der Strom komplett weg ist. (Lässt sich aber durch Rausnehmen der Heizungssicherungen leicht umgehen ...) - Die Matrazen waren etwas durchgelegen... Alles in allem wird man aber ein derartiges Kleinod nur schwer wiederfinden, darum 5 Sterne!

Spectacular Grossglockner Experience

This is a unique place to experience Grossglockner surrounded by its spectacular mountain peaks. The house is off the beaten path at the end of a beautiful high altitude valley. The place is easily accessible from main Grossglockner transit on an unpaved road. Drive an SUV or equivalent. Excellent restaurants and stores are just a short drive away. Kurt is helpful and very responsive host. We were a group of 10 people of all ages. The house offered had plenty of space. The kitchens were well equipped. Many hiking trails pass by the house. We enjoyed every minute of our stay!
