NEVER VACATIONED ON NORTH CAPTIVA ISLAND? Here are some VERY important things to note:
1) There are no roads/bridges to this island. All vacationers and homeowners access the island either by ferry boat, chartered boat, private boat, or via small, private aircraft. Upon arrival, our guests are greeted at the ferry dock by our Property Management team and escorted in golf carts to Tipsy Turtle. Use of two 4-person golf carts is included in your rental.
2) There are no major grocery stores on the island. All vacationers and homeowners provision their houses either by personally shopping prior to leaving the mainland or by hiring a personal shopper or management team to do the shopping for them.

Yes, there is some legwork involved in planning a vacation on NCI but the effort is worth it because this is what makes NCI so special!...Step away from the real world, relax...and PLAY!

KITCHEN: Tipsy Turtle's kitchen is sure to please all levels of culinary expertise! Well stocked, open concept, stainless steel appliances, glass cook top, stone countertops, Calphalon knife set, variety of pots and pans, ample dishware and glassware.

DINING: The indoor dining table by the kitchen can accommodate 8 people. Two bar stools at the kitchen peninsula. Outdoor dining table (under the house) seats 8.

Please Note: North Captiva does not have a grocery store; you'll want to come prepared but no worries, the owners of Tipsy Turtle and their management team are not new to this rodeo. The digital guidebook you'll receive upon booking will provide plenty of information to walk you step by step through the process. Take this opportunity to meal plan some favorites or try some new, tantalizing tropical recipes - key lime pie anyone? Dining-in or carrying-out from the four island restaurants or inviting in a local chef to prepare you a meal to remember are always memorable options!

--OUTDOOR LIVING--

UPPER LEVEL DECKS: Tipsy Turtle boasts FOUR private upper decks just a step out of the living room, two of the bedrooms, and there's the crow's nest deck which has spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico, Pine Island Sound, neighboring Caya Costa, and the rooftops of the colorful homes of North Captiva. Pick a spot with comfortable outdoor seating for morning coffee or an evening cocktail and soak in the tropical surroundings!

GROUND LEVEL LIVING SPACE: Ready to be wowed? Tucked under the stilted (20 feet) house, you and your friends/family will enjoy a beautifully private, outdoor living space. Large sectional, dining table that seats 8 comfortably, hot tub, and the swim-up Thirsty Turtle Bar!

POOL AREA: Private, heated pool features a shallow platform for toddler splashing or sunbathing. Variety of seating options and sun umbrella.

GRILL AREA: Weber propane grill

GARDEN AREA: 2 colorful hammocks and a picnic table surrounded by tropical foliage

--NORTH CAPTIVA ISLAND ADVENTURE--

Tipsy Turtle is the perfect location for quick adventures around NCI. The island is just 4 miles long and 1/2 mile wide at its widest so, you're never far from a new spot to explore. Your reservation at Tipsy Turtle includes the use of 2 four-person golf carts.

THE NATURE PRESERVE: Hike or bike (rented at Boats & Fun on the Island) 600 Acres

VISIT THE BEACHES: 2 minute golf cart ride (or easily walkable) brings you to two of the best beaches on the island (east side) provides access to the waters of the Pine Island Sound or (west side) provides an access point to the Gulf of Mexico - a great spot to walk a long stretch of powdery soft sand and soak in a photo-worthy sunset.

RENT A TOY: Boats and Fun on NCI rents a large variety of toys! Boat rentals for exploring neighboring islands, kayak rentals for paddling among the dolphins, a paddle board to gain a completely different vantage point, or jet ski rentals to really get your zoom on. They also rent fishing equipment for fishing from the beach which is an island favorite.

CHARTER EXCURSIONS: There's no shortage of captains who offer excursions! Inshore/shark/tarpon/deep sea fishing anyone?

*We accept instant booking but please reach out prior to booking if you have any questions; Molly, the host is happy to help.
*After booking, you will receive a digital guidebook. This handy tool works like an App on your phone and will walk you through all the steps required for planning a vacation on NCI such as...scheduling a taxi from the airport, which method you'll choose for acquiring your groceries, selecting a ferry option, and details on connecting with our property management team.
*Please sign the rental contract within 48 hours of booking. Your reservation is not confirmed until this has been properly signed and returned.

-Rental Agreement must be signed and returned w/in 48 hrs of making reservation
-Cancelation policy: guest receives 100% (less $100 cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs at least 14 days before arrival; Guest receives 50% (less $100 cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs at least 7 days before arrival; No refunds within 7 days of arrival.
