Welcome to L'Odyssée, a former inn for Loire riverboatmen dating from the early 19th century with a splendid view of the river, located between Tours and Saumur, near numerous castles and tourist attractions. <br>We offer a self-contained holiday rental whose decor blends our two passions: wizards and Japan! <br>2 bedrooms, a living area, and a bathroom. Separate entrance. View of the Loire River. Access to a large shared hot tub on the terrace. Sleeps up to 9 people. <br><br>The cottage consists of: <br>- a living area with a kitchenette, table, and Château d’Axe double sofa bed (140x190 cm) <br>- Hecate’s bedroom (Harry Potter Lego decor) with a double bed measuring 160x200 cm <br>- private bathroom with shower and toilet <br>- upstairs, the Mount Olympus dormitory (Japanese-style room) with a view of the Loire River, a sleeping area, and a living area. In the sleeping area with tatami mats, there is a double futon bed (140x190 cm) and a single futon bed (90x190 cm). In the living area, there are two single sofa beds. <br>The cottage is ideal for two couples or a family. However, it can accommodate up to 9 people. <br><br>You’ll have access—by reservation and at no extra charge—to the house’s large hot tub located on the rooftop terrace with a view of the Loire River. It is not private to the cottage!!! It is shared with all guests staying at our bed-and-breakfast. It is open from April through October. <br>Breakfast is available upon request for an additional €10 per person. <br><br>The cottage is connected to the rest of our bed-and-breakfast, L’Odyssée. This gives you access to the following common areas and amenities: <br>- the dining room on the veranda <br>- the TV lounge and shared kitchen <br>- the rooftop terrace with a hot tub overlooking the Loire River (open from April to October) <br>- the garden where our dog Ulysse lives <br><br>We live in the adjoining house and are available throughout your stay to answer your questions or offer recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. <br><br>Across from the house, there’s a staircase leading down to the banks of the Loire River, where you can have a picnic, meditate, or go fishing. A 5- to 10-minute walk away, you’ll find a bakery open as early as 6:30 a.m. and even on Sundays, a historic church, a bar-restaurant, and a TER train station. A 10-minute drive away, you’ll find all kinds of shops in the town of Bourgueil. Less than half an hour from the house, you can visit the châteaux of Ussé, Langeais, Azay-le-Rideau, Villandry, Brezé, Saumur, Montsoreau, Gizeux, Chinon, Rivau, Réaux, Fontevreau Abbey, and many other diverse and varied tourist sites. As for gourmet restaurants, you’ll be spoiled for choice—just ask us for recommendations! <br><br>Although the cottage has a maximum capacity of 9 people, it is designed to comfortably accommodate 4–5 people. The hot tub is closed from October through March to comply with energy conservation guidelines. No smoking. Pets not allowed. Parties prohibited.
