There is nothing special about the lake or about the "resort," (which consists of 3 tiny cabins, this larger cabin with a kitchen, and a few RV hook ups, all behind a small diner, mostly gravel, with a narrow path between private houses down to the lake). There was not much of a view from the cabin, though you can see a little of the small lake over/between the private houses that are down the slope.
However, the cabin is very nice inside. Huge, brand-new fridge. Plenty of very nice kitchen equipment. Nice towels. Nice touches including a tray of treats like microwave popcorn bags, tea bags, coffee, and hot cocoa and apple cider packets. Very nice furniture. Large TV set. The set of knives is nicer and sharper than I have at home, which has never been the case with a vacation rental before.
My family members were disappointed with the lack of WiFi (they sat next to a smoker on the bench by the diner to get WiFi), the lack of a dish washer, and the lack of television reception (though we did find a DVD to watch one evening). The window curtain in the master bathroom is skimpy, so privacy was sketchy for showering at night.
We enjoyed hiking in a number of parks within an hour drive.
Check-in worked out without any problem, but I never received email with the keycode. We got the keycode from the small restaurant and then found that the code was already entered into the box.
