Cozy lake house with spectacular views and private access to the lake

Welcome to our home! It is a two bedroom, one bath, ranch with a basement that has been transformed into a functional living space. After a long day of enjoying Lake Erie, you and your guests can rest your bones in our newly updated bedrooms. The cozy master bedroom offers one queen bed and the spare bedroom offers one full bed, where you will wake up to a stunning view of the lake. You can also enjoy this same spectacular view from the large sliding glass door in the living room, which provides an additional queen bed in the pull-out sofa sleeper. When it is time to enjoy everything this property has to offer, you can enjoy a day on the lake from the beautiful back yard on one of our two decks, which offer private, walk-in lake access. Most importantly, dont forget to take in the breath taking sunsets at the end of each day!

Beautiful house right on the lake

The house and property has everything you could want, we were a group of 3 adults and two kids ages 7 6 and 10 and there was plenty of room for us!

This deck is wonderful!

Lake house with the best view

We loved this property so much that it was our second time staying here. The outdoor space is gorgeous with the best sunset I’ve seen on Lake Erie. The house is wonderfully kept and owners are so kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

View and access to the lake were exceptional. Ice cream, miniature golf ,shopping in Vermillion and all the surrounding areas and attraction of the Lake Erie are and islands made for a great week at the lake !

Outstanding Lake Retreat!

My wife and I absolutely loved this cozy lakeside home! The view was the main attraction at first, but the owners are amazingly responsive (we had to last minute change dates and they took care of us instantly), and the property had all the comforts to make us feel at home. Highly recommend a stay, we can’t wait to come back again!

Absolute Charmer!

This was our 2nd trip to Braxton Cottage, and it was just as wonderful. Clean, convenient, well appointed and the owners are thoughtful and communicative. We spent hours just enjoying the beautiful yard and staring out at the water. 100% a fantastic stay!

Great view!

We were visiting Ohio from Los Angeles and needed a place to stay that was close to family but also served as a nice retreat. This house was perfect for us. The view was wonderful to wake up to, and the home is a short drive away from cute downtown Vermillion, which has several restaurants and a nice little coffee shop. Highly recommend this house if you are staying in the Vermillion area.

Cozy Cottage

My family and I really enjoyed staying at Kari and Craig’s lake house. It is a beautiful, cozy property and accommodated four adults and a 1yr old very well. Kari and Craig thought of everything to make their guests (and our pups) feel comfortable. The view of the lake is magnificent and we enjoyed the sunset every night. We’re looking forward to another visit in a few months.

Best home ever away from home!!!

Kari and Craig we are positive, have the most comfortable, totally ready for us or anyone lake front property that could be found off of Lake Erie Vermillion. They are the most accommodating hosts ever. This was our second stay there and we plan to come back again in the Fall. I miss it already . The view is spectacular!!!

What a lakefront gem!

A quiet area, beautiful yard, impeccable home. We enjoyed our time on the lake greatly! Including our pet pup. The weather didn't cooperate so much, but the deck and yard and cozy accommodations made up for it. Nearby mill park was also a great spot.

Getaway Week!

I seriously couldn't say enough positive and amazing things about this place!!! The owners, Craig and Kari, were super accommodating to our needs and so friendly! This house was absolutely gorgeous with a stunning view of the sunset every night. Our last night, we had a little bonfire and cookout in the backyard. This house was an amazing place to come and cleanse your mind, body, and soul. I hope to be lucky enough to come back for another getaway one day. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Second visit just as wonderful as the first!

This was the second time my mother and I stayed in this lovely home. I won't write another long review (you can see my last one posted in 2022) because everything was exactly the same! Little gem!

This home is little gem! We are from New England and we traveled to meet my parents from the Midwest. The house was a perfect size for all of us (4 adults, 1 child, 1 dog). It was very clean and updated. The decor fit the lake vibe. The yard was spacious and fully fenced for our toddler and dog to run around and play which was awesome not to have to worry about them! And the view...amazing! Would highly recommend this property, especially if you are traveling with a dog!

Perfect house and location.

We could not have asked for a better rental. The house is located in the small town of Vermillion which is near Sandusky and an hour from Cleveland. The sunrise and sunsets are breathtaking from the deck overlooking Lake Erie. It's in a small neighborhood with friendly neighbors on both sides of the house but still have your privacy. The owners are easy to work with and try to think of everything you may need. The house was immaculate. Also some of the best BBQ we have ever had from BBQ Pit restaurant 5 minutes away. We will be staying there again. K. Franklin
