About this property

A Charming Townhouse for Two

A Romantic Little Townhouse in the Heart of Uzès

Tucked away in a charming little street in Uzès, this delightful and completely independent townhouse is the perfect retreat for two, offering a romantic escape in the heart of southern France.

A small private entrance terrace welcomes you and is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Inside, the house combines the charm of a traditional townhouse with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

On the ground floor, you will find a compact, well-equipped kitchenette with a dining area, as well as a cosy living area with a retractable TV.

Upstairs, the romantic sleeping area awaits, with its own private bathroom, a small desk and a lovely private balcony – the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet moment at the end of the day.

A further ladder-style staircase leads up to a small mezzanine under the roof. This additional sleeping space is particularly suitable for children or older kids. Due to the ladder access, however, it is not suitable for very young children.

A little home away from home for those who want to discover Uzès as a couple, wander through the historic streets, explore the famous market and then retreat to their own private little nest.

I fell in love with this little house in Uzès and decided to give it a new life. I acquired the house and personally oversaw its complete renovation, carefully restoring its authentic character while bringing in the modern comforts and quality I believe make a stay truly enjoyable.

My aim was never to transform it into a modern apartment, but rather to preserve its soul and history. The house is an authentic little townhouse, with beautifully carved stone, traditional plastered walls and wonderful wrought-iron details – all elements that give it its unique character.

Every detail was chosen with care, with the intention of creating a place that feels both authentic and comfortable, intimate and refined.

For me, renovating this house was a labour of love: preserving what makes it special while creating a welcoming little home where guests can experience the charm of Uzès in a truly personal way.

Why they chose this property

I appreciate this little corner of Uzès because it captures the authentic charm of the town. Tucked away in a quiet, picturesque street, yet close to the lively heart of Uzès, it offers the perfect balance between tranquillity and the pleasure of having everything within easy reach.

What makes this property unique

What makes this little house truly special is its intimate and independent character. It feels like having your own private pied-à-terre in Uzès – a cosy little home where you can slow down, enjoy breakfast on the terrace, step out onto your private balcony, and experience the town at your own pace.

I particularly love the way the house unfolds over several levels, creating separate little spaces despite its compact size. The cosy living area, the dining and kitchenette space, the romantic bedroom with its private bathroom and balcony, and the charming little mezzanine under the roof all give the house its own personality.

It is not a conventional holiday apartment. It is a small, characterful townhouse with a soul, designed for couples who want to experience Uzès from the inside – not simply visit it, but temporarily make it their own.
