The host was slow in providing check-in details, and a little dífficult to reach. The condition of the duplex was worn compared to the photos, and the neighborhood was dicey.

Host was responsive, check in was simple, close to soccer / lacrosse / ultimate frisbee field. As previously stated, pictures are quite outdated.

Furniture was broken, found a bullet, I cleaned the house and could tell it has not been cleaned very well.
Nice little place. Great location near a popular park. Had a few very minor issues but they did not affect my trip. Note: this is not a high end rental but it is clean and has necessities.
Quaint and quiet property perfect for a short stay. Studio townhouse with all the amenities and close proximity to all the great things to do in Columbia. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks.
This house was excellent for our stay. It was located in a quiet neighborhood with a park within walking distance. The neighbors were extremely friendly. Will consider this property on our future travels.
Quiet. Apartment has everything you need. Nice quiet little patio in back. I really enjoyed my stay here. Directly across from Owens Field park. My son loves it there. Great stay.
It was absolutely perfect for our two week stay before becoming homeowners. The atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable with plenty to do for my boys! Bring your skateboards bikes scooters frisbies soccer balls kickballs ! Literally anything youre into

Overall it was okay for the weekend. The furniture does not match the pictures. Definitely only sleeps 2 comfortably. The owner was friendly and responded quick to all of my messages as well as phone calls.

Good for what we needed
We just needed a place to stay while waiting for our home to open on Fort Jackson. The home was suitable for what we needed. Some small things would have made stay five stars. The listing pictures need updating. The couch that is shown downstairs is no longer there and replaced with a black futon. As is, I don’t think this home could comfortably sleep more than 2 adults and 1 small child. There is a cot & mattress in the upstairs closet that we ended up using for our toddler. Paint needs a touch up. Overall a charming home, good lodging for the price, close to shopping, restaurants & attractions.
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming VRBO. Our host was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations while also completely respecting our privacy. We truly appreciated their hospitality. The home itself is very cute, with bright and cheerful decor that made it feel welcoming. While it's a duplex, we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet the neighbors and the entire neighborhood were – it made for a very peaceful retreat. We also have to mention how incredibly comfortable the bed was! We slept so well.Like some other reviewers mentioned, the property could benefit from a few minor updates, such as a fresh coat of paint and perhaps a more comfortable couch. However, these were truly minor points and did not detract significantly from our overall experience.Despite those small suggestions, we had absolutely no complaints and would definitely stay here again. It was the perfect size and setup for a couple, and the location was very convenient for exploring Columbia. We highly recommend the "Columbia Metropolitan Getaway" for anyone looking for a cozy and private place to stay!
What the picture shows with the furniture is not what’s there. It’s illustrated with a L shaped couch that wasn’t there, it says it sleeps I believe 4-5 and really without the disgusting cot from the damp closet, it was difficult to sleep 3. The best thing about this VRBO is the location. We pulled up and opened the door and were immediately met with a very strong Oder. Everything was damp. Sitting on the chairs made our pants wet. I got a towel out of the closet and had to put it in the dryer before I took a shower. There was a dead blizzard at the front door, a dead cockroach fell out of the couch. The water pressure in the shower left all of us desiring more. Overall the best way to describe our stay would be that I will never use VRBO again.

Poorly Maintained, Poorly Cleaned
We stayed here for a night (09/28/23), only because it was late and we were exhausted from travel. The property has not been maintained to the level of the current photos. Furniture is missing and what is there is badly stained. The walls are scraped, marked, and stained. The hot water handle of the bathroom faucet was broken off and the shower was dripping. Overall the property was not well cleaned. There was litter out front and an overflowing trash can out the back door. The toilet was clogged. We had our trip canceled and refunded after we found a mess the cleaner had missed in the living area, which was poorly lit as the overhead light fixture had no working bulbs (the dining area’s light fixture had 1 out of 5 working).

Very outdated
Didn't feel the pics and description prepared me for the property. All appliances were very dated and i did not feel comfortable cooking in the property. Pictures show furniture not in the unit. The couch was very small (not suitable as extra bed for anyone over 5) also not the one pictured. The upstairs bathroom didn't work and made noise all throughout the day and night. The property was not terrible but i would definitely recommend to update the pictures and show the outdated appliances not to surprise anyone. The stove and fridge are from the early 90's. The bathroom the 70's, paint and upgrades there as well would go a long way. I feel the ad should show how dated it is, not everyone has a problem with that. Some people do especially when not expecting it.
We were moving from one home to another and my daughter needed a place to stay. This place was excellent. Great location, save, and owner was awesome. If I could rank it higher I would. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will be going there again during football season
Cute house! Place was clean and comfortable, other than the upstairs being a bit toasty. There was a ceiling fan and floor fan however, so it was no problem.
