Welcome to our beautiful mountain retreat in Tahoe Donner.

This private vacation rental provides everything you need for a wonderful alpine vacation. The open floor-plan, vaulted ceilings, and light-filled interior will make your stay unforgettable. It features a beautiful open kitchen with custom granite counters, all stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar. You and your family will enjoy home-cooked meals at the spacious dinner table and evenings full of fun in the cozy and warm living room. The upstairs loft provides more opportunities for family fun with a foosball table, futons and board games.

On the back deck you will find a wrought iron table for eight with an umbrella and a new hot tub for six.

The cabin offers four bedrooms and three bathrooms and sleeps a total of twelve people (with a maximum of eight adults). The house is ideal for family vacations because it has two master suites (one on the main level and one upstairs), and two additional bedrooms on the main level, one with a queen size bed and one with two twin beds. Additionally, there are three twin futons available to place wherever needed. The two futons in the entertainment loft can also be used as guest beds. The upstairs master bedroom has a spacious bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The second master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a shower. The other two bedrooms share the third bathroom which also features a shower. These rooms are ideal for children as they are on the main level and close to the shared bathroom.

The property sits on a flat lot on a quiet street, with ample parking in the garage and on the driveway. The many trails in the area are very attractive for hikers and bikers alike.

Please let us know if you would like to bring your dog. Dogs can only be left alone in the house if they are crated, and we will charge an additional cleaning fee for visitors who bring their dogs.

ABOUT THE AREA

In the winter, guests can enjoy the close-by cross country center and downhill skiing, as well as a snow play area which is a favorite among our younger visitors. In the summer, take advantage of the championship golf course and clubhouse, or bring the family to one of the private swimming pool complexes. You'll also have access to a private beach club at Donner Lake, where you can avoid the crowds and spend a day paddle boarding, kayaking or sunbathing on provided chaise lounges.

Included with your rental are two guest passes which provide access to the amenities available in Tahoe Donner. Each guest card allows access for up to four guests over the age of six. Guests will need to set up an account online with Tahoe Donner to pre-register for the use of some amenities. Guest access fees apply in some

Tahoe Donner is minutes away from historic downtown Truckee, about 12 miles from Northstar California, 16 miles from Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows and Sugar Bowl resorts.

Our family of 3 generations had a wonderful stay! This house was clean upon arrival, accommodated all 5 adults, 2 little ones and our dog. Lots of room to spread out. We played games, ate inside and outside at large tables, enjoyed the hot tub and slept comfortably with the mountain air drifting in. I look forward to more visits at this delightful home!

Gorgeous Truckee home

Beautiful home close to town and the golf course, and Donner lake. Only complaints are the bed in the master bedroom upstairs was very hard and pillows were not very comfortable, and the foosball table needs repair. Plenty of room room for 10 people and house was very well stocked. We had a great time.

Perfect stay

We had a wonderful time. The house was great, location was great, everything went so smooth. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen, made it super easy for us to prepare our meals. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and playing in the snow in the back yard. It was only minutes away from the ski hill, so getting there was a breeze! Definitely would recommend

Great house in a great location

Great location backing up to a green belt that is great for walking and kids bike riding. Well stocked kitchen and attentive manager. House is short on pillows and those that are there are old and beat up as are many of the towels. The best are quite high for little ones and older folks. Well stocked kitchen.

Perfect location for Donner Lake Swim

We felt comfortable meeting the owners upon arrival. They were very friendly and welcoming. The house was clean and roomy. I would suggest that you get a handyman to fix certain items: No knobs on bathtub upstairs Unusual way to turn on shower ( we were afraid of pulling it so hard) Kitchen sink faucet is loose Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful mountain home Swimmers came in 2nd, men and women’s division!!

Family Friendly Mountain Escape

We stayed in Jim’s house for a family vacation and had a great trip! The neighborhood was fantastic with easy access to tons of activities in Truckee (hiking, lake, biking, shopping, restaurants.) The house was perfect size for our group of 6 adults and 2 small children. We cooked a lot and found the kitchen to be very well stocked with all of the pots, pans and utensils you need. I recommend bringing your own pillows if possible as we found them to be flat. We found a couple leaks during our stay but Brian, the property manager, was very responsive and came right over to fix them. We would definitely rent Jim’s house again for another trip to Truckee!

Comfortable Tahoe Donner home

Our family group of 7 (5 adults and 2 small children) had a wonderful stay! This home is super clean and comfortably furnished with a spacious great room, well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels and linens. The ceiling fans and well positioned windows and doors provided great airflow and very comfortable conditions. Located on a quiet, flat street within easy driving distance to Truckee, Donner Lake, and the Tahoe Donner association's amenities. Having access to the Tahoe Donner pools and the Marina Beach Club on Donner Lake through the Tahoe Donner association's reservation system (extra fees) was a big plus for our group. The homeowners were super responsive and provided easy to follow instructions. We look forward to returning!

Great stay with minor improvements possible

Overall the house was perfect for my family of 5 adults, 6 kids, and 1 infant. Large and comfortable space with all the amenities you need. There are minor improvements that can be made however: - the floors were a bit dusty when we entered. It was not a deal-breaker but I would mention this to the cleaners - the hallway bathroom on the first floor has a leaking shower because the shower door is not sealed properly. this meant the bathroom floor was wet for the entire weekend, effectively. - the shower nozzle in the upstairs bathroom is difficult to turn and set for hot water. we had to call the property manager to get very specific instructions and only after several tries did it finally work. - both the property manager and the owner were not in town which meant no one was available to come to the house in case of an emergency. the welcome message said that the property manager lived next door and was available for any needs - next time it would just be good to know the truth so we know what to expect when we run into issues. Again, these are minor comments and not major ones. Overall my family was very comfortable and I appreciate the home being open to us. Thank you.

Ski weekend

This home was perfect to accommodate 3 families, 5 adults & 5 kids. Great neighborhood fir the kids to play outside. The home is well furnished, we did not miss anything. Great music system. We just had a bit of trouble w extra pillows for the futons on the loft and blankets. We’ll definitely keep it on our list to rent again,
