About this property

Cozy Getaway w/Hot tub, Fireplace, Firepit & A/C

We are new to the VRBO platform but have been on another booking platform for the past 6 years and are rated 5 stars there as Super hosts with over 200+ reviews.
 
Our peaceful getaway house has everything you could need! Inside is cozy with vaulted wood ceilings, hardwood floors, a fireplace, big screen TV, games, a fully stocked kitchen, claw-foot cast-iron bathtub, washer & dryer, two queen beds in separate bedrooms, and plenty of special extras to spoil our guests. Outside you have access to a BBQ, fire pit, 3-person hot tub, hammock, bistro table and new dining area w/umbrella outside and a garden. All close to transit & 10 mins from downtown!

We now have 2 bikes available for use for no extra charge. We send the code for the bike locks along with your check in information.

We are in the Old Historic Laurelhurst neighborhood, just a a few blocks from Providence Portland. Our charming getaway is it's own separate unit/building, tucked away behind the main house, hidden from the street and offers plenty of privacy for the hot tub and backyard activities. There are 2 bikes and helmets provided available for use.

We love to travel ourselves, and nothing makes us happier than entering a place to stay that is warm, inviting, and stocked to the brim with thoughtful touches. It's our goal to think of our guest's needs and special requests before they know they have them! Karen graduated culinary school years ago, and loves to surprise her guests with tasty treats. We hope it is quite clear that we love hosting!

Please note, the very powerful A/C Unit is located just outside of the bedrooms, in the hallway, pointed toward the main area. In the hottest summer nights, you may wish to leave your bedroom doors open a bit in order for the cool air to keep you extra cool at night. And it certainly does it's job!

Cozy beach cabin feeling get away in the middle of the city. This little gem was amazing! The hosts had great taste. I was greeted by little welcome sweet treats, and the place was more than stocked. Great neighborhood to walk around. Grocery shopping and restaurants closes by. It’s easy to stay cozied up on a stormy day here.

Karen’s place is cheerful, comfortable and well-stocked for a great visit to Portland. The property is in a safe, pretty neighborhood with beautiful Laurelwood Park and several restaurants nearby. Karen left us snacks to enjoy. We didn’t have time this trip to enjoy the hottub or firepit. Karen provided a thorough, helpful information notebook. We enjoyed our stay.

Cozy apartment in Laurelhurst neighborhood

A couple friends and I met in Portland and stayed in this lovely rental. This 2 bedroom unit has been skillfully redone to every last detail. The kitchen was well equipped, the hot tub was perfect (for 3) after touring the city, and the fire pit space was inviting. Beds were comfy, and hangout space inside was perfect. I haven’t stayed in this neighborhood before, but we enjoyed the tree lined streets among beautiful older homes. Karen, the host, was responsive and thoughtful.

Absolute Best Possible Stay

There are not enough stars to rate my family's stay at this wonderful place hosted by the kindest most thoughtful people. Karen and Chris are gems!The property is amazing. So cute and clean and thoughtfully laid out and well taken care of. The AC was great on a warm Portland day, and the hot tub was awesome on a cool night. The beds are so comfy and the kitchen is well stocked and clean. The location is great as well. This is THE PLACE to stay if you're traveling to Portland. There were even fresh baked cookies, berries from the farmers market, and a bottle of wine with a hand written note waiting on us when we arrived. So sweet and personable.I CANNOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE ENOUGH.Don't waste your time. Book this place NOW before I get a chance to go back for even longer next time.

We LOVE to talk about Portland, and have lists of our personal recommendations. What to know where the best eateries are? Best breweries? Just ask!

We always want our guests to feel comfortable. If that is a glass of wine by the fire pit talking with us about all Portland has to offer, great! If that is a self check-in where we make ourselves scarce, that's great too. :) However our guests prefer to vacation, we only want to enhance that experience!
