Get ready to create unforgettable memories in the newly renovated Whispering Pines, the perfect retreat for bigger groups seeking a cozy and comfortable getaway. With 2 stories, there's ample space for everyone in your crew to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature. From cozy evenings by the fire pit to lazy afternoons spent lounging on the porch, Whispering Pines offers a serene and picturesque setting for your next adventure in Southern Indiana. Whispering Pines is located in a pine forest setting at the Osborn Boat Ramp on Patoka Lake in Southern Indiana. 10 minutes from French Lick, Indiana.
The cabin features streaming channels, electric fireplace, kitchen, 1 and 1/2 bath, and covered porch with outdoor furniture. The kitchen has pots, pans, plates etc. You will need to bring spices and your food. We have a gas and charcoal grill. Remember to bring charcoal, lighter fluid and firewood. There is a gas station and Dollar General 5 minutes from the cabin.

Parking available for several boats.
Bedding - Queen bed downstairs, 2 Full beds upstairs, 1 Full Sofa Bed, and 2 Roll away single beds available upon request.
Outdoor Library, Hammock Forest, and Hiking Trail on the Property.

The lodge

The lodge was great. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep. There is a nice area out back to hangout by the fire. Close to nearby attractions

Didn’t Cancel my Reservation as I Requested and Double Charged Me

I canceled my reservation with Vrbo, got a cancellation email from Vrbo saying they received it but it never got canceled. I got charged for a cabin I didn’t use. Vrbo and the host had no interest in trying to resolve.

Abraham had a bit of confusion with his cabins. He booked 1 through VRBO as well as one directly through our website. According to him he later cancelled the VRBO reservation however we did not receive any notification. We had correspondence with him prior to arrival regarding both cabins. We even sent pictures of a new fire pit addition on this cabin he booked through VRBO a few days prior to check in. He received the normal check in instructions for both cabins prior to check in. There was no attempt to notify us that he no longer wanted to book this cabin. 3 days after checking out he text "I didn't realize I booked the lodge. I thought the lodge was a common area." He then text "Nevermind, planned on making trips to your cabin a yearly thing, but since you and VRBO don't want to help I (and everyone I know) will stay somewhere else." We definitely want our guest to be happy with the experience and our cabins. Unfortunately, in this case the cabin was booked, we had correspondence regarding this cabin several times however we never received a request to cancel. It is unfortunate that his plans changed to only using 1 cabin. We have a relaxed cancellation policy and would have been happy to share this property with another guest if we had known Abraham no longer planned on using it. Being notified 3 days after check out that you were confused about what you booked does not give us an opportunity to change the reservation for you.
