Utter Seclusion on 600 Feet of Waterfront , Free WiFi

Situated on 600 feet of both rocky and sandy beach, this contemporary home sits on one of San Juan Island's largest stretches of private waterfront, attracting deer, owls, fox, seals, otters and bald eagles. Take in the 180 degree view from Spieden Island to Mount Baker. You will welcome the amazing morning sunrises to spectacular sunsets from this uniquely situated home.
We supply crab pots, shrimp pots and dip nets which you can use right off the beach. Go down at night with a flashlight and the dip net. Shine the light into the water and the shrimp come to the surface. Some guests like to scuba dive off our property which is full of crab and scallop.
Except at very high tide, at the bottom of the wooden stairs, there is a cove to launch kayaks. This side of the Island is the safest for kayaking and almost always calm.
The open floor plan in this home has a spiral staircase to sleeping loft that sleeps 4. The bedroom has super-comfortable California King bed with views of the water. The casual dining right off the completely equipped kitchen and just steps from the outdoor deck. Wood stove in the living room will make this a pleasant stay in cooler months too!

The property was absolutely beautiful! The home was in great condition, with all the amenities you need for your stay. Very homey feel, so you almost feel like it’s your own place. Filled with thoughtful touches, from a state park pass to bottled water! Views were outstanding and we used the provided binoculars to view Orcas from the cabin!!! Hope to stay here again one day!!

We had the best time on our stay this year! This is our third time staying at this home and we just love it! Last year when we were here we got engaged and this year was our honeymoon. The home is always so clean and has everything you need to cook. We loved enjoying time out on the deck and time in the backyard. We were lucky enough to see a pod of orcas from our backyard on our first day there! Its very private and super dog friendly. We had our pups with us and they just had a blast as well. So lucky to be able to enjoy this lovely property!

We had a delightful stay at the beach house. We loved the seclusion. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. The back yard and deck were so inviting and peaceful. Being right on the shore was a big treat for us landlocked Utah and Colorado people. Friday Harbor had a nice variety of restaurants and shops but we enjoyed the Lime Kiln State Park and lighthouse and whale tour the most. We were lucky to see two orcas—the brothers—at the park, 5 orcas on the tour and a humpback at the park. The islands are more beautiful than we expected, the people we met were helpful and friendly and the weather was perfect. Couldn’t ask for anything to make our get-away more spectacular!

Such a peaceful place and awesome views! Although no sandy beach and we didn’t catch any crab. A couple minor issues: the master bed pillows are horrid, but we used other ones, and the living windows have some issues that obscure the view slightly. Otherwise the place is well kept and about perfect.

This is the perfect space for us. We are city dwellers and when vacationing we greatly enjoy being surrounded by nature, having no neighbors, space to stretch out, peacefulness, and wild life. The view is spectacular. We had everything we needed. Michelle is wonderful in every way.This was our first visit to the San Juan’s during tourists season and we booked our ferry reservation late. Thus we arrived too early for check-in. Michelle got us early check-in. We will be back next year!

This home looks wonderful in the photos but it is even better in person-the views are so beautiful-the house was comfortable-we had everything we needed and more. I will book again-dont think I could have found a better place on the island. Oh-and the hosts are VERY responsive-quick and helpful-it doesnt get much better!

Amazing stay! The view is stunning! Appreciated the thoughtfulness of the included amenities like the Discovery Pass for the house. The beach access is also wonderful! It rained most days we were there so the rocks one needs to climb down to get to the beach were really slippery. Once on the beach, it was awesome!

Most Beautiful Stay on the Island

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous cabin. We had complete privacy the entire time, & truly enjoyed the seclusion. Access to the water is only a short walk from the cabin, & I’d recommend checking it out. We hope to come back soon and stay here again.

Lovely secluded oasis on San Juan Island!

My partner and I came to San Juan Island for my birthday and this place made our stay magical! Waking up and being able to step out and look at the water off the back deck was so peaceful. We highly recommend this place and hope to come back!

Peaceful and convenient

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay! The setting was so peaceful, especially views from the back deck. Easy access to Friday Harbor and the rest of San Juan Island. The house was clean, comfortable, pet friendly, and had a fully equipped kitchen for cooking.

Charles does relief work in Africa, India and Afghanistan.He has been a longtime executive in the IT industry, a business consultant and licensed realtor. He is an author and several of his books are available for reading and a complimentary copy of his book Breath of Kenya is given to guests as a way of saying thank you. Kristy is an avid gardener. She weaves, spins and knits and maintains the one and half acre English garden at our home in Sammamish. Our bulldog Otis does absolutely nothing, which meets expectations and then some.

Why they chose this property

Wonderful seclusion just an hour's ferry ride from Anacortes. San Juan is quaint and a bit yesteryear. Friday Harbor is a small town with just about everything you need except for franchise stores. San Juan gets about a third of the rainy days of Seattle. The main road is only a mile away and it's a calm rural road which is great for running, walking or bike riding. Turning right just before the winery and heading down a tree arched road we fell in love with our 6 acres of paradise. It is perhaps the finest piece of property on the Island.
