About this property
Spacious cottage, ideal for family gatherings
Our 18th-century family home is located in Saint Avit Senieur in Périgord, in the middle of 6 hectares of meadows and woods. Situated on a hill, the house offers a 360° view of the surrounding countryside. It gets the sun all day long, but stays cool inside during the summer heatwave. Natural air conditioning is one of the great things about old houses.
As you walk around the property, you'll hear the cuckoo and the hoopoe singing, and can pick cherries, peaches, mirabelle plums, pears, apples and walnuts according to the season. Just a few kilometres away, 20,000 years of history await your visit: prehistoric caves, medieval and renaissance châteaux, abbeys, Romanesque and Gothic churches and picturesque villages.
On the ground floor, you will find a large living/dining room (70 m2), two large bedrooms (20 m2, one with a 140 x 190 bed and the other with a 160 x 200 bed) and a large kitchen (30 m2). Upstairs you'll find an attic bedroom (30 m2 with a 140 x 190 bed) and an unusual bedroom in the tower (30 m2 with a 160 x 200 bed and an antique 110 x 180 bed). The rooms on the ground floor and upstairs are separated by around thirty metres, as the house is large (280 m2). Bed linen and towels are provided.
Outside, the swimming pool (8 x 4), secured by a shutter, awaits you after visiting the region's emblematic sites, or simply to relax, chat or read.
Weber gas barbecue.
Thanks to its large reception room, this house is ideal for hosting family events: birthdays, engagements, etc. We can provide a cot.
Arrivals and departures are on Sundays.
