About the host
Hosted by Ruth Gerber Rupp
I am in "retirement career" years of my life. In 1972 I completed a BS degree in Food Science and Nutrition at UW-Stout in Menomonie, WI and then a Masters Degreen at University of Minnesota. Early years of my career I was employed at a Registered Dietitian in hospitals including Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the Fort Campbell, KY Army Hospital. I soon decided I didn't like working as a dietitian (telling people what not to eat) and decided I would rather work in the Food Manufacturing Industry so I could be part of offering great foods to consumers.! I worked for several years as Registered Sanitarian and Quality Manager in food industries - my best employment experience was when I worked in the Haagen-Dazs division of the Pillsbury Foods Company! Retirement years now include keeping busy as a licensed Realestate Broker and as Maple Syrup Farmer and manager of the vacation rental and extended stay properties - all of which you can read about at RuthGerberRupp.com
