Villa Aloha: a modernist jewel in a preserved natural setting.
This superb holiday villa was built in 1965 by the architect Jean Reitz. Inspired by the Californian achievements of Richard Neutra, he designed an elegant and airy house, open to the swimming pool, nature and the panorama. It is located in Fréjus in the absolute calm of the Tour de Mare district.
In the heart of a landscaped garden of 1900m², the house is 110m² to which is added an independent studio on the ground floor of 40m². A beautiful entrance leads to the living room with fireplace on one side thanks to a huge bay window on a 120m² terrace with swimming pool, a dining room and a fully equipped Smeg period kitchen. It also opens onto the night area which consists of three bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate shower and 2. Below the swimming pool is the independent studio of 40m² with WC and shower room, walk-in shower and garden area. A porthole gives a direct view into the pool basin and diffuses an undulating and bluish light.
Facing an unobstructed view of the green hills, the living spaces open onto a superb 8x8 metre pentagonal free-form swimming pool with original mosaics and enjoy more than 120m² of terraces spread over two levels.
The villa rises in a magnificent landscaped garden planted with palm trees, cork oaks, olive trees, mimosas, cacti, citrus fruits and other Mediterranean shrubs. Sunbeds and garden furniture allow you to spend peaceful moments by the pool, to have meals outside. A plancha is available.
Furniture and decoration are vintage of high quality in perfect harmony with the places for lovers of architecture, art, design, aesthetics, calm and voluptuousness with family or friends.
The villa was restored by an architectural firm in 2022. It is published in the magazine Espaces Contemporains n°3 July/August 2023 and soon in a documentary on architecture on Paris Première.
Spending a few days at Villa Aloha is like taking a trip back in time to a cinematographic setting where, according to the comments of previous tenants in the summer of 2023, "straight out of a Jacques Deray film" "you can, with a little imagination during your naps around this magnificent swimming pool, vaguely guess the silhouette of a young Jean Paul Belmondo and an Alain Delon emerge from behind the lush plants of the garden..." ".
Welcome to the villa. Aloha!
