Cheery with abundant natural light, The Roost is a 500 sq. ft. two story "not so tiny, tiny home" set among old growth cottonwood trees in a relaxed older neighborhood. Downstairs is a queen bedroom with en-suite bath, trundle in loft and air-conditioning. Numerous easy-open windows connect guests to the outdoors while the living/dining area offers R&R for family and friends with a full-sized sofa and fully equipped kitchen. Outside enjoy barbecuing and dining at the patio table.. The small front yard with privacy fence has 4 Adirondack chairs and a fire table to enjoy a quiet evening. Listen for the hoot of owls that live here and take in the stars that shine brightly without competition from other lights.
The space Our guest house is finished with modern farmhouse charm and nice details. White quartz counters, custom cabinets, locally milled rough sawn floors. It also has air conditioning and on demand hot water.
We live in the main house just behind the guesthouse. The Roost is located close to the airport and a quick bike or drive to downtown. There is a short trail close to our house that would make for a nice walk. It's also located 2 blocks from an elementary school with 3 playgrounds.
Cody is 1 hour from the east entrance to Yellowstone. Yellowstone’s east entrance usually opens around May 6th and closes around November 7th. Yellowstone is only open to snowmobiling in the winter.
Guest access There is a parking spot just in front of the porch. It easily fits one car or two small cars can squeeze in. You are welcome to park along the road as well. Please park your car along the fence (yes in the grass is just fine). Please don’t park in our driveway, it can make it difficult for us to get out. Spring of 2025 we will be adding an outdoor camera to the porch area

Very charming, clean, well maintained property. Was near the owners home, but felt private. We enjoyed The Roost and all it had to offer. Would recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was exactly as expected and many thoughtful touches were present as well. Our hostess was very helpful. Terrific location close to Cody but very quiet at night. We will plan to stay here again
The Roost was everything we were expecting. Clean and all essentials were provided. Kitchen was fully stocked even though we didn't use all amenities everything was there to be used. Nice location to airport, downtown. Was able to experience all Cody has to offer with hiking and sightseeing with Yellowstone relatively close.
Much roomier than expected. Very clean and well stocked for renters. Loved the decor and overall looks of the home. Perfect location for visiting Cody and Yellowstone. Very friendly owners and easy to access location. We will definitely stay again!
It was perfect. My spouse and I both got very sick but it was so comfortable it was almost like being home. We loved area and were impressed with the owners we fortunate toeet.
This place looked straight out of HGTV! You can tell a lot of thought and love went into it. It’s also so spacious! Very comfortable and the hosts were great.

This property absolutely exceeded our expectations. The owner was communicative, friendly and kept the house so immaculate that I even told a bunch of friends (and took videos, too) that there is NO PLACE else they should stay, but at this warm and welcoming cottage. I highly recommend it!
The place was beautiful and the perfect place for us. We were on a trip with our granddaughter and this place was wonderful. She got to have the loft to herself for privacy and we had the room on the main floor. The bed was comfortable and warm to sleep in. We loved the roominess of the bathroom and kitchen. Loved the outdoor grill and picnic area and the fire pit.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
We loved the location being in a neighborhood! We didn’t feel like tourist. We felt like we just lived there for a short while in a small vacation home. And as an extra bonus the neighborhood had quite a few deer to see!
The place was very clean and spot on with its decorations and attention to detail! There were plenty of extra blankets and towels. The a/c was fantastic and kept it cold, just how we like it!
I do wish it had a washer and dryer, but the laundromat was nice and not too far away.
I highly recommend staying here if you want a cute, welcoming place to relax in!
We loved staying at The Roost so much. You could tell every little detail was thought of here and this was a great space for us. Our daughter loved the loft so much and had so much fun walking up and down the stairs. We enjoyed the provided children’s books and browsed through the magazines about the area. Syringa was a wonderful host and was so kind and welcoming. The pictures simply do not do this place justice. It is beautiful inside and out and spacious for a tiny home. The shower was also a highlight and even worked for our 2 year old as the shower head is one of those rain ones. This is probably one of our favorite stays in a Vrbo ever!
The Roost is the real deal. Anybody looking for a tiny house built with incredible craftsmanship should look no further. Syringa’s hospitality is first rate. This is exactly what a VRBO should be. Five stars.
Your place is awesome… all the extra touches that you have was 1st Class.. We would stay there again..

Hi, I'm Syringa. My husband (Sam) and I are Rocky Mountain natives who love to recreate with our 2 children. I grew up in Salmon, ID, while Sam grew up in Bozeman, MT. We moved to Cody in 2013 when Sam took a job as a fisheries biologist with Wyoming Game and Fish. Together with our children, we love to ski, mountain bike, hike, raft, backpack and camp. As a river guide for 10 years on the Salmon River, I learned to love hosting people of all ages and all places. We are excited to meet new people and share this wonderful place called Cody.
