We came during a very raining weekend, but it was still a beautiful location. The morning we checked out, the sun came out, and so did the sheep. We had a very nice time, and would stay here again.
Had a great time visiting family and enjoying the season. Host was communicated promptly and was a nice home base for me and my family.

Beautiful and quiet location surrounded by nature. The donkeys and sheep in the pasture were an added bonus. Description was accurate. If you want quiet and comfort this is your spot!
The location of the cabin was perfect for visiting family in Cedar Bluff, Richlands, Tazwell and Tannersville. The views from the side porch were beautiful and the animals on the property were a plus.
We only needed to stay one night but wished we could have stayed longer because we enjoyed it so much. Very peaceful and has a country home feeling to it. The cat, donkeys, sheep’s, and a dog that likes to play fetch was an added on bonus. We will be staying there again if we come up that way again.
Property was clean, host lives right next to the house and was immediately responsive when I needed something. Great little back deck to sit and watch the sunset and mountains. Enjoyed the baby lambs playing, a friendly kitty and the donkey.
This was the perfect place for me and my family. The accommodations were as described and the peace and serenity of the view and critters were an added bonus. We enjoyed playing board games and enjoying one anothers company. The only negative was no wifi password was available, but that lent itself well to more family time, so not a major issue and possibly something I overlooked. We loved it and look forward to the next visit!

I was looking for a little cabin with a nice view far from other people/cabins. This was absolutely perfect. Host was super friendly and accommodating. There was a gas fireplace that was just absolutely amazing. Kitchen well equipped, washer and dryer a plus! View was good for sunset and sunrise.
There was a super friendly cat as well and sheep and a donkey!
Located a reasonable distance from several parks and hikes, groceries and supplies not far.
We will definitely come again!
Great property with the exception of the cabin’s proximity to the property owner’s home. A little too close for our taste but we were unbothered, nonetheless. We thought the cabin was down the hill further than the owner’s home. Would stay again…very clean and the animals were a bonus.
if you want off the beaten path this is the rental for you, it is on a hill with a winding narrow drive way/street. our 18 ft motorcycle trailer took up the entire road hope no one is coming down. low branches and vegitation dragged across the top of the trailer. view was outstanding, lots of deer. they have a herd of goats and a couple of donkeys on the property that made for comical viewing. the rental unit could use some updating but was adequate for our needs. I would recommend for the motorcyle enthusiast.

Converted Garage
I need to better planning things. When we arrived my wife nearly cried. Converted garage. Tight bathroom. Sink not centered on the pedestal, outlets too high to plug things in, vanity light plugged in with an orange extension cord, bathroom window cracked, it said no pets but the cat seemed to want to stay in there and my wife’s allergies kicked in. The bed was adequate. Did not meet the owners but they responded quickly and were accommodating via text. For the price, I would have been more comfortable in a hotel. I’ve been to many 5 stars. Unfortunately I cannot say this was one.

Thanks for your feedback and mentioning that we were accommodating, with many messages prior to your stay, rescheduling your stay etc. Which makes me wonder why you didn’t mention any of these issues to us during your stay? Lucy’s is a guest home as it was built, it is a rustic house which is shown in the photos. At a price point that is not expected to be fancy nor perfect. We have photos of the property as they are. As travelers you should do better planning. If you’re looking for something well under what a hotel costs per night you may know that it’s not generally going to have a pillow menu or breakfast in bed. If your wife was that upset, we would have appreciated getting a message so that we could send you on your way to a hotel or somewhere more accommodating we would NEVER want someone here that is uncomfortable in any way. As listed in the welcome guide the cat does try and enter into the home, but is NOT allowed in. I think in the future not only should you try for a 5-star hotel, you should also let the owner know you have issues so they can help you out instead of just throwing 2 stars at something.

Disappointed
We paid for 2 nights. When we arrived my sister became ill so we couldn’t stay. We were denied a refund. They wouldn’t even waive the extra cost for cleaning etc. (no cleaning was needed since we didn’t keep the reservation)
Very disappointing
The dwelling is up very steep and narrow roads.

Thanks for your review. We have a firm refund policy and we do not give refunds to people who "choose" not to stay with us. After arriving on the property you stated that your sister did not want to to stay due to the road. You never mentioned that she was "sick" just that she didn't like it. You also stated that you may or may not come back, and that you may allow a family member to come stay in place of your sister which we advised you would be just fine. After that you proceeded to stay for about an hour and half. Which means we DO have to get a cleaning crew in to sanitize the entire home. You left and never canceled your stay or contacted us again until weeks after your stay. IF in fact your sister had become ill and you were unable to stay for this reason we would have gladly worked with you on exchanging your dates. Simply not liking the drive is not grounds for a refund under our cancellation policy. If you had not stayed in the home as long as you did we may have discussed the cleaning fee at that point. Unfortunately, if you eat part of the burger, your paying for the burger.
I've stayed at this property before and everything about is great . But on this adventure at this location made it very special as how the property manager Amanda and her staff will go above and beyond to be sure that they take care of their guest .I had booked a 3 night stay to visit family members in the area but on my 1st night of my stay I received a call involving a family emergency my mother who is 150 miles north from this property had fallen and broke her arm she was found by her neighbor on the ground . I contacted Amanda right away she completely understood the situation and is in the process of letting me pick up where I left off after things get straightened out with my mother and for that I will always be greatful to Amanda and i will continue to be so.. and will return as a faithful customer no matter which properties she manages . Thank you so much Amanda and God Bless
I needed to visit family in the area and I was so happy to have this treasure! This is where I will stay every time now!!!
