Great cabin 15 min south of Fayetteville
Take it slow on the gravel road to the cabin but what a great piece of property. We used 1 of the 5 cabins there , would be great for a few couples or families
My husband, kids, and I were enjoyed our New Year’s getaway! We hiked T Devil’s Den State Park and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful cabin. The kids loved the lofts! We will definitely be back!
Cabin is so clean and nice. Wifi good, shower has great water pressure. A great place to unwind. Connie the host is so easy to talk. Will be coming back .
Cabin was very clean. Host was easy to communicate with and responded in a timely manner. Area was quiet for the most part. Construction wasn’t too loud but could be heard from outside but inside, you couldn’t hear it. Overall, we were very pleased and would recommend staying here.
Everything about this cabin was perfect. Directions to the property were spot on. Check in process was contactless and seamless. The cabin itself was gorgeous. Very clean and accommodating. Perfect place for a weekend getaway! Connie was so sweet and very helpful. We will definitely be back soon!
I was on a short trip to Arkansas for a wedding and decided to stay with VRBO instead of a hotel. The price was shockingly affordable. There were three adults in my travel party. The property was amazing. Our cabin was next to a small waterfall/stream. We had everything we could need there. It couldn’t have been any easier. We will definitely come back
Our trip was just perfect. The hostess Connie stays connected, but allows you to enjoy your time privately as well. The area is Family First Cabins and we had a lot of fun just exploring the grounds, playing pickleball, basketball and watching chickens!!!! When we were packing up the last day, our car had a low tire. Connie arranged for us to use their air compressor. Above and way beyond expectations!!!!!

The road coming in has been washed away at spots making it very uncomfortable for me to drive out so we stayed at the cabin our whole trip. There were a few things left from the last people staying which I'm sure was just an oversite because the cabin itswlf was beautiful. The creek was dried due to it being middle of the summer that made exploring it great. Definitely want to come back in the spring with water here but definitely 4 wheel drive should be REQUIRED, not just recommended!
We were a group of 2 families with 4 kids total, ranging from 4-9 years old. It was a bit tight in the living room but we had enough bedrooms for everyone. The 3 bigger kids slept on their sleeping mats. There was enough space for them on the floor of the loft. We had them stay there as the ladder’s safer. The outside area is perfect for grilling and smores. We watched a movie outside by the fire on our projector. There’s a playground few cabins down with a pickleball net and basketball court. The two little dogs are adorable. Connie was very helpful and kind. She was available enough for any questions and even wished us safe travels on the day of our check in. Overall, a wonderful stay for our first time in Arkansas.
This is a very clean and cozy cabin. It has all kitchen supplies you will need. We had 2 dinners and 2 breakfast at the cabin and cooked lunch in the grill ( in 30 degree weather). The beds are very comfortable. The views are amazing and there is a running stream right next to the farmers cabin running to the pond. We hiked the property for a very short time. This cabin is close to Devils Den. We hiked a couple trails there. There is a Dollar General and a gas station about 20 minutes away in Winslow. We will definitely be back to this cabin! The hosts were great but honestly we didn’t need them. They had everything ready and accessible. We played the games supplied and watched a movie. The dvd didn’t work but we really didn’t try to use it, we just watched Netflix.
This cabin in Arkansas is a great choice for families. My kids, ages 8, 5, and 2, had an amazing time. They loved collecting fresh eggs from the chickens, playing in the treehouse and playground, and exploring the pond where they could kayak and paddleboat. The cabin itself is fantastic with cozy lofts and plenty of space. I was pleasantly surprised by all the amenities when we arrived. If you're looking for a place where your kids can really have fun, this is it. You won’t regret booking this cabin!
Property was exactly as listed. Just a short distance from I-49 but feels like you are 100 miles up in the hills. We were in NWA for Razorback football game and this was perfect spot for our family. Will definitely be back when we go to Hogs basketball game.
This was a perfect spot to stay just outside of Fayetteville. We were in for a football game and easily got to and from the stadium. This cabin is so cute and quiet. The owners are also wonderful about communicating really clear instructions and we’re available to us throughout our stay. We will definitely be back!
We loved the property! Everything was clean, and in great condition. Very peaceful, relaxing, and just what we needed. Connie was super polite and helpful! Highly recommend staying here, we will be back!
What a wonderful place in a beautiful location. The cabin was even better than the pictures. The perfect size for 2 and even the kids if they had come.
Such an easy process with amazing hosts that check on you prior and have everything planned out.
We enjoyed a walk in Devil’s Den and easily wen into Fayetteville for all our Parent Weekend activities.
Such a gem and will hopefully return.
There are some big fish in the pond!! The owners of this property are TOP NOTCH!! If you’re looking at this property you should definitely choose it! Nothing bad to say. 100% positive and amazing. You will not be disappointed.
We very much enjoyed our stay! Everything went smooth as far as checkin/checkout, the cabin was clean and cozy, and we had a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend for your next stay!
Welcome to Family First Cabins in Winslow, Arkansas! We are Vernon and Connie, happy parents of 12, and new empty nesters. As the children are nearly all married and the grandchildren are adding up, we decided to build a place they could come to visit. When the grandkiddos aren't visiting we want to share this beautiful space with others - including families. Family is very important to us and having a place for families to be together and make memories is valuable! We love Arkansas and all the beauty that it offers. Come stay in one of our cabins and disconnect, reconnect, and and enjoy the peace and beauty of nature that God has created.
Why they chose this property
Trees, rocks and nature are the best neighbors! We chose to leave our family home in Fayetteville and relocate on 60 acres in Winslow, AR. We love the peace and serenity we find here and yet we are just 25-30 minutes from all shopping and as much of the “rat race” that we might desire for a short time. We fee like we are a thousand miles away from the chaos of life yet we have all the comforts of home as well as digital connection to what we would like to see and hear. We are in the woods but just ¼ mile from the interstate for easy access when we need to travel. We love having our chickens and our tractor for continued fun projects. We wanted a safe and peaceful place for our family to gather, make memories and connect with nature.
What makes this property unique
Down in our little "holler", it is peaceful, quiet, and feels a thousand miles away from the "rat race" of life. Enjoy a retreat to nature but keep your running water, AC/Heat and a nice bed. You are a short drive from a grocery store and 25 minutes from Fayetteville for fine dining. A valuable bonus is that you are just a 5-10 minute from Devil's Den State Park that has hiking trails and lots to see! Fish the pond, row a kayak on our little pond, or just sit on the dock and take in the view. A classic old time playground is great for the kids young and old. Try out the swings, merry-go-round, teeter-totters, and “whirly-gig”. A small turfed sports field is great for lawn games and some sports. Other turfed which provide rock and pothole free running space as well as the option to sit on the "grass" without getting ticks and chiggers! The basketball court comes with basketball and a pickleball net is an option for hitting the ball back and forth. The pavilion provides shade or retreat from the rain and is a fun place to hang out. You can hike on our 60 acres and explore and/or scale the huge rocks down our ravine that is below the pond. You can stay onsite to relax, and vacation or venture out and explore many things close by such as: Devil's Den trails, Lake Fort Smith, West Fork and more. Multiple ATV trails are close by such as: Mill Creek.
