I started to host in 1999 with a studio apartment on the bank of Seine river at 5mn walk from Eiffel Tower. I like to welcome guests in my home and to make them enjoy Paris. I grew up in Champagne region, 140km away from Paris, nice place to visit in a day : tour of the cellars, tasting of Champagne ...
Isabelle purchased this Apartment in 2007
Why Isabelle chose 8th Arrondissement
Very close to main tourist attractions, easy to move every where with metro station in front of the building, strategic place for shopping, night live, turism, gastronomy, events...

Our apartment was in a great neighborhood...close to the metro so getting around Paris was quite easy. Plenty of restaurants and markets close by for our meals and food shopping.
Perfect for 4 people!
We absolutely loved staying in this apartment. It’s perfectly located if one wants to be in central Paris. The apartment is spacious, the beds were comfortable and it was quiet at night with the windows closed. Great lighting and cross ventilation when the windows are opened. The floors are original and are creaky but we had absolutely no issues with the upstair or downstair’s neighbors. The washing machine/dryer was a blessing as this was week 2 of our trip. A full sized kitchen with everything you could need. We didn’t cook but the full sized refrigerator was nice to have. A 5 minute walk to the Champs- Elysees where you can catch the M1 line. The M9 line is right near the apartment. Plenty of grocery shops, restaurants and patisseries nearby. Isabelle and Michael were responsive to communication and phone calls. The apartment is located on the fifth floor - the elevator is typical for Paris. It’s small - my husband used it all the time with no issues. The rest of us chose the stairs - no problem and we’re all 60+ years old. I highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay again on our next trip to Paris. Thank you Isabelle and Michael!
Crazy loud floors upset neighbors, great location.. And more...Etc
Great location but impossible to walk around inside without the floors squeaking and creaking and waking everyone in the house up. no shampoo or toiletries are provided, 40 year old towels to shower and the neighbor knocking on my door asking us to be quiet 2 minutes after we got home from a nice dinner out when my wife and daughter had on heels. my daughter had to go to the bathroom in the night and as the floors creaked it woke everyone up not to mention the people who live upstairs must be employed to some extent every morning around 6 a.m. they're stomping around for 45 minutes. My electric razor blew the electricity fuse for the entire place and thus we had no water heater or warm water until the owner came and fixed it.
You have chosen an accommodation in a former Parisian building in order to live the Parisian experience. Our apartment is gorgeous, comfortable if you know how to appreciate it. The original wooden floor has its charm. You have rent an apartment in a private condominium, if you were on vacation and you make noise late at night, it is normal my neightbors are not happy because they are Parisian workers. You were expecting an hotel service, I think apartment is not for you. In bathrooms you have paper toilett (2 rolls per toilett) and liquid soap. Regarding shampoo, it is your personal use. The electrical installation in the apartment is new, you bring an electric razor which is not adapted to French installations !...Immediatly, we came with an electrician to repair your damages without to charge you !... The towels are not old, they were not dry with the dryer.
Old world charm in perfect location.
This was home for 4 nights in Paris with our family foursome.
Great location just off the Champs Elysee and Arc de Triomphe, close to vibrant cafes, restaurants and a full grocery. While on an active street, the well appointed apartment was practically soundproof. Due to the unseasonable hot weather, we were definitely happy we opted for the air-conditioning. Isabelle, the owner was very charming, informative and accommodating to our every need. Will definitely want to stay there agin next trip!
6 Great Days in Paris!
This property fit the needs of my family of 5 perfectly. With three twin beds set up in the second bedroom, and 2 bathrooms, we managed very well. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, glassware, plates, etc., which was good since we like to pick up food at the Boulangerie, patisserie, fromagerie and enjoy them at “home” in the evenings. I was glad the weather worked in our favor because the only air conditioner is a portable unit in the hallway. Had it been hotter, it may have presented some issues, but there are a couple fans that helped to circulate the air in rooms that didn’t get as much help from the air conditioning! Also, for us personally, not having stayed in the 8th arr, we felt the location was a bit further from some of the places we would have liked to frequent. I highly recommend the unit, and appreciate Isabella’s recommendation of Maison Julian (the local boulangerie/patisserie) - we went every day!
