Waterfront Retreat, Lake Limestone

Welcome to our waterfront retreat. Enjoy the peaceful quiet setting . You can surely get that ahhhhh moment relaxing on the back porch with the water just a few feet away. Take the opportunity to sit on the pier at night and enjoy the breeze blowing across the lake. Bring the kids and fish from the pier, swim, and then take a spin in the paddle boat. The slow sloping, smooth sandy bottom, is ideal for kids who love the water. Pull your boat up to the pier and enjoy the entire lake. Bring your jug lines and fill up on catfish. You'll find a fish cleaning station on the covered patio. Pellet smoker/gas grill combo awaits on the back porch. Two queen beds and the third bedroom has 2 twin beds. There is a queen and a twin inflatable mattresses available if needed. Be sure to check out the updates that we have done during this spring of 2022. The cabinets and countertops have been updated throughout the house. The big addition is a new sun deck and french doors accessing the deck from the 2 lakeside bedrooms! For those that just have to have a television during their getaway, we have wifi and a large screen tv in the living room, dvd player and a large selection of dvds. I'll be glad to provide as much information as I can about the excellent fishing, local bait shop, catching your own bait, local grocery store and more.

Needed Vacation

The house was wonderful. The beds were soft, rooms were cool to sleep in. Everything was provided pots pans dishes cups toaster coffee pot. We enjoyed it very much.

Excellent fishing place!

We go on an annual fishing trip with our elder parents. They have so much fun at this place and the fishing never disappoints. The place is nice, the movie selection is great. We look forward to staying here every year!!

Excellent weekend away

Stumbled upon this listing while browsing waterfront properties, what a lucky find! My boyfriend and I spent labor day weekend with our pups. Better in person than pictures! Quiet, relaxing, just perfect. House has everything youd need for your stay. Swam, fished and enjoyed the lake front breeze.

Host was wonderful! Friendly and helpful advice! House is beautiful, clean and beds comfortable! Lake was low but we were still able to beach the boat and fish off dock when too windy to go out. 2 really good fishing days! Great time!

Lake getaway

We had a wonderful time here on Lake Limestone. The house was perfect for us and had everything we needed, the lake sunrise was breathtaking from the second level patio/deck. The lake has a sand bottom at the shoreline and a dock that we enjoyed fishing off of and just taking in the view and also enjoyed taking the paddle boat out for a spin. Robert was a gracious host and answered any questions we had. Looking forward to another stay here. Definitely a beautiful, relaxing getaway.

Clean and updated

Don't let the missing driveway and plain-box outside fool you, this is a really nice place. It's very clean, has good linens and furniture, has updated appliances, a pellet/gas grill, a fire pit, and even a paddle boat. We didn't try the paddleboat ever, but we sat out on the pier and enjoyed the view, and cooked smores over the fire. We felt comfortable cooking in the kitchen and were able to stock up from the nearby town of Groesbeck. We played games on the table in the room with the dining table, with a great view of the lake outside, and when we wanted to eat out we had a great experience at Billy B's only a few miles away. AC and Heater both worked well. Saw lots of wildlife on our drives to and from the property. We never got around to fishing, but I understand that's great too. I'm planning for us to return in a warmer season and enjoy another rest.

Lovely Time at Lake Limestone!

What a great place to get away! This cute, cabin-styled house was perfect! Very clean and had everything you would need for a family vacation. The owner has provided almost everything you can think of.....fully-stocked kitchen, smoker/grill combo with pellets and propane, paddle boat for fun, outdoor seating, etc..... Plus, there's a laundry room to keep your swimsuits and towels clean. Bring your fishing poles, as the pier/boat dock made for some great fishing and there's a fish-cleaning station on property. We caught different kinds of catfish and white bass. The area around the dock is fairly shallow and has a sandy bottom, so it was perfect for floating around on pool floats and relaxing with a cold drink. The sandy bottom also made for a great spot to "beach" our tritoon. It stayed put every evening, just fine. There are also "complimentary" pets.....a sweet, orange cat named "Bobby" and a friendly, orange Corgi named "Copper". They hung out with us the entire time and made our days there even more enjoyable. (The cat is "dog friendly", so if you bring your dogs, he'll fit right in.) Overall, we had a great time and would definitely stay at this property again!

Quaint and Quiet

The property was as described in listing. It was comfortable and we especially enjoyed the enclosed porch. The stormy weather kept us indoors but we cozied up and watched. The only thing that I would change is that the house was very scented with plug ins and all of the linens were heavily scented. Just not great for my allergies:)

we enjoyed the stay. The fishing was great. All the food and puzzles and games were fun. The only problem we had was with the nest thermostat. Not one of us ever had a nest thermostat we had trouble trying to set it. But it all worked out in the end.

Week on the lake

My husband and I had a beautiful week on Lake Limestone. The October weather was warm and the lake inviting. The house was clean and well furnished, even some basic supplies were left in the kitchen for guests to use. Overall, we had a fine stay.

Wonderful fishing retreat!!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We fished, swam, lounged on the deck and porch and overall just relaxed and had fun!! The house had everything we needed for the meals we brought to cook and the beds were very comfortable. A/C worked great, which is always a plus in this Texas summer heat. We caught fish all day long from the pier and were able to use our cast net to get shad to use for bait. All done without leaving the premises, no boat needed!! We will definitely book this place again in the future.

Great location and house!

2nd time renting this cabin! Love the location and fishing here. The owner is great too! Grand kids love the deck and huge yard! Fishing off the dock in the evening is the best!

Great place for fishing!

Our family has now stayed here 2 years in a row, and the fishing has been great both times. The house is as listed and it is comfortable and perfect for a fishing weekend. The owner is super responsive.
