Welcome to the Modern Moose @ Buffalo Ridge!

Our top-floor condo with incredible views of the Gore mountain range and Lake Dillon gives you a front-row seat to all the goodness Colorado has to offer!

20-30 minute drives to Keystone, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Loveland, and Arapahoe Basin Ski Resorts. Free shuttle to ski resorts, Silverthorne Outlet Malls, or any other popular Summit County destinations; a perfect getaway all year long!

Easy access to restaurants, shopping, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, snowshoeing, downhill skiing and cross-country skiing.

3 Pools, 5 hot-tubs. Pools and hot tubs are not always open in all Buildings; the HOA closes facilities for maintenance and doesn't inform us, we apologize in advance if any are closed during your visit. For the 2023/2024 Ski season only 1 pool and 1 hot tub are planned to be open. The others are actively being renovated.

Our Modern Moose was designed for our flexcation lifestyle; wireless phone chargers & power strips with USB-A and USB-C are throughout. 1 desk and chair in the loft. Zoom, MS Teams, Webex, Jabber.

Whether you need to plug in for work or play; we've got you covered!

Roku TVs - a 65" in the LR and 58" in each bedroom. Polk Audio Soundbar for the LR TV is also a bluetooth speaker! Connect your mobile device and enjoy!

*You need to use your own log-ins for streaming services.

Spacious 2/2 with loft and 1044 sq ft of living space means everyone can spread out for individual activities and everyone can come together in the living room for movie night.

Sleeping flexibility; 1 King in BR1 (Nectar Premier), 1 Queen in BR2 (Nectar Classic), 1 Queen in Loft (Nectar Classic), 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa in LR. The sleeper is a "Palliser My Comfort" - look it up on Youtube - really cool and actually comfortable!

The dining table seats up to 6 (by pulling chairs in from the peninsula) or you can have 4 at the table and 3 more at the kitchen peninsula.

Our new oven has an Air Fryer setting! Whether you already use one or want to try it out, we've got you covered.

After booking we'll send you a link to our site that has details on all of our kitchen amenities with pictures so you can plan your trip. Want to know ahead of time? We're the only Modern Moose at Buffalo Ridge, so you can find us easily on the web.

Parking is free at Buffalo Ridge and you get one designated spot under the building. The neighborhood is quiet but you're very close to just about anything you would want to do or see.

After your stay - no need to start a load of laundry for towels and linens - we use a local linen exchange service; they refresh all towels and linens between guests.

Families; we do NOT have any child-proofing in place and the loft rail and balcony rail present falling risk. We do NOT have any items for children in the condo. We DO, however, have a local rental company who will rent, deliver and set up almost anything you need including gates, cribs, high chairs, books, toys, utensils, and much more. They can also shop for you and stock the kitchen before you arrive. We'll send a link for our website after you book; more info there, including the link to reserve equipment.

Buffalo Ridge/Village is a complex of 270 units located on both sides of Ryan Gulch Road at the top of Wildernest. Nestled in the National Forest in the shadow of Buffalo Mountain it's the perfect location!

Take advantage of the great outdoors or just enjoy the amenities in one of the clubhouses: Buildings AA/BB (1 hot tub/1 pool), CC/DD (1 hot tub/1 pool), G (2 hot tubs) or in the separate Buffalo Ridge Clubhouse building (1 hot tub /1 pool /game area). There's also a lounge with 1 pool table in Building AA/BB and a game room in Building CC/DD.

With several pools, tennis courts, hot tubs, saunas, wooden boardwalk through the wetlands, and hiking trails, you don't need to go far to get the best Colorado has to offer!

The hours of all clubhouses are 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.

Laundry is open from 9am to 10pm daily.

Other things to note:

***Booking this property constitutes acknowledgement and acceptance of our house rules, terms and conditions. You may contact us for such if VRBO makes it difficult to find.

***There's NO elevator in our building. We're on the top floor, so 4 flights of steps from the parking lot. Pro tip - get dropped off on the non-parking side of the building and you only have 2 flights of steps!

***All mentions of items for children/toddlers/infants are not items currently in the condo. They're all available for rent from our local resource who will deliver and pickup. We'll send a link for our website after you book, more info there, including the link to reserve equipment.

***Ring Doorbell outside front door. We use it for deliveries, maintenance crews, and you can press the doorbell if you have issues with the door lock. Can be disabled during your stay if requested.

***The post office will not deliver to Buffalo Ridge. Fedex and UPS do, but we can tell you from painful personal experience; the date they say they will deliver will not happen. If you're lucky, you get the package 1-3 days after the date promised.

***Starter supplies provided; guests are responsible for their own paper/cleaning/toiletries after starter supplies run out.

***The loft rail is not safe for small children. We added additional slats, but still don't recommend children stay in the loft unattended.

***No Pets, Parties or Smoking. A fine and/or eviction with no refund may be assessed if these rules are broken.

***It's extremely important for you to check out by 10am. If housekeeping shows up at 10am and needs to return later because you're still there, they charge us extra and we have to pass that along to you.

***The cleaning fee covers normal cleaning and sanitizing of our home, linen service, starter supplies. It does not cover excessive cleaning. Any additional fees we incur will be passed through to you.

***The HOA has rules to follow and Summit County has rules to follow. These are posted in the guest binder and on the side of the fridge. Fines resulting in breaking any of these rules that are assessed to us will be passed along to you.

***Summit County runs a hotline for complaints against renters of Short Term Rentals (STR). In the event another party calls in a complaint against you or anyone in your group; our Responsible Agent must respond within one hour to resolve the issue. Fees charged to us by the Responsible Agent will be passed along to you.

***All Short Term Rental properties in Summit County have these same rules, restrictions, and potential additional fees; we're trying to be transparent, but make no mistake, no matter where you stay all these things apply.

Fantastic property
This is one amazing property. The owners have gone above and beyond to make your stay very comfortable. There is nothing you could possibly need that is not already there. The views are amazing. Don’t miss a chance to stay here. The only downside are the stairs, but we were aware of this before reserving and dealt with it, probably in better shape now! 😊

Overall, amazing property with so many extras! Humidifiers, cozy blankets, well-stocked kitchen (dishwasher pods and laundry detergent, even!) and very responsive and communicative hosts. Loved the decor and beds were super comfy. Everything you would need for an amazing ski week. Third floor is a tough climb with the altitude and only 1 of 4 hot-tubs was semi-operational, which was a bummer after the slopes. But would recommend the condo and hosts are top-notch. Thank you!

Great location, fabulous views, beautifully updated!
The property is clean, beautiful, and has amazing views. We went many places including Garden of the Gods and the Rocky Mountain National Park. There are many places to hike locally, especially around Dillon Resevoir. This experience was priceless!

We love Colorado year-round; so much to do yet our favorite times might be sitting on the patio with wine and cheese watching the wildlife as the sun sets across the sky in front of us. We often see moose and fox, occasionally bears and eagles. During the warmer months - hummingbirds are plentiful!

Why they chose this property

We wanted to be close to everything yet far enough away for peace and quiet. Wildernest was the obvious choice for us, but not only did it have to be Wildernest - it had to be right on the front range of the national park with clear views of wildlife, mountains, and the Dillon Reservoir. This place fulfills all our needs and we love it.

What makes this property unique

Besides proximity to ski resorts, water sports, fishing, hiking, and biking... One of the best parts is the free shuttle that runs year-round. Pick-up and Drop-off is minutes away from our condo. We like to go into town and not worry about parking or driving back up the hill if we plan to have a drink or two.
