WESTERWALD – This holiday home in the basement stands in a tranquil route in the small holiday resort of Horhausen in Westerwald. There is a cosy terrace outdoors, where you can enjoy the wonderful evening sunlight that complements the day. Horhausen is located in the heart of Germany and offers a lot of options to undertake trips. You can take trips to the cities of Bonn, Koblenz or Cologne and the Moselle Region with its number of wine villages or the Eifel, is located just 30 minutes away by car. The hilly landscape of Westerwald is inviting for wonderful hikes through nature. There are a few restaurants and supermarkets in the village.

Prima plekje

Het was een last-minute boeking, nodig omdat Engeland toch wat te spannend bleek te zijn. Het boeken ging vlot, al bleek de verhuurder de communicatie via HomeAway niet te lezen maar moest er direct gebeld worden. Dat komt omdat er nog een organisatie (Novasol) tussenzit. Het souterrain is ruim en was erg goed schoongemaakt. Ook was het er lekker koel ondanks de warmte buiten. Buiten zitten was even wennen zo vlak aan de (rustige) weg maar het was leuk om soms even een babbeltje met de voorbijgangers te maken. De gastvrouw is een gezellige dame maar dringt zich niet op. De WiFi was prima, YouTube kijken was geen enkel probleem. De ligging is goed, binnen een half uurtje rijden en heb je heel wat plaatsen te bezoeken.
