Great location

The location was perfect! Close to Rogers City and Black Lake and Indian River. The place was nice and cozy. The peacocks were fun to watch 😁

Beautiful Weekend Getaway

My husband and I chose to stay here for our annual northern Michigan winter getaway weekend. The house was beautiful and was probably the cleanest home we have rented so far, which says a lot! The bed is kind of a memory foam - I loved it and he hated it, so it's just a personal preference. We explored Awakon Park, which has some neat sculptures scattered along some trails. Had a great dinner at Wood Winds Restaurant then enjoyed drinks and karaoke at Al's Onaway Bar. We had a great time relaxing for the weekend. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Lovely Cabin in Meadow

We were sooooo happy with the cabin. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The furnishings were beautiful, the outdoor area was perfect for mornings with coffee. The peacock was an absolute bonus! All in all, very nice property.

I was born and raised in Onaway, MI but have resided in Nashville, TN since 1996. My very large family, The Chapmans, mostly all still live in and around Onaway and are all on board for helping my guests whenever needed. My dad, Clark Chapman, is my onsite handyman and my cleaning crew is lead by my close cousin, Jeanie Flory. This is truly a family venture and we are so excited to have you stay with us.

We offer amazing views and plenty of either total quiet time or the ability to bring your 4-Wheelers, snowmobiles or side-by-sides to ride and play.

What makes this property unique

We have 2 free range Peacocks named Lewis & Clark that roam the farm and will come visit you on the porch at least once I am sure. No need to feed them, trust me, they are well fed:) During the full feather season they will drop tons of feathers around, feel free to gather a few and take with you if you wish.
