Betsie River offers great summer canoeing, kayaking, with spring and fall Salmon and Steelhead runs.
Crystal Mt. offers downhill skiing, two 18 hole golf courses, pools, spa, an Alpine Coaster and more.
There are more than 300 miles of snowmobile trails minutes from the cabin.

Golf: Crystal Mt. has two outstanding 18 hole golf courses just 1 mile from the cabin.
Many other great courses are with a 20 minute drive.

Fishing: The Betsie River has a great Salmon and Steelhead run in the Spring and fall and one of the best places to fishing them is the hole right in front of the cabin.
Twenty minutes away Frankfort offers pier fishing in Lake Michigan as well as charter boat fishing and a beautiful sandy beach.
There are also many smaller lakes to fish within a few minutes drive.


Crystal Mt. Resort: Crystal Mt. Resort was rated top family resort in the Midwest.
It offers a good variety of slopes and terrain parks for skiing and snowboarding.
Something for everyone.
The resort also has an indoor, outdoor pool and hot tubs.
The outdoor pool has a water park for the kids.
Crystal also has Michigan's only Alpine Coaster.

Nothing beats staying in a beautiful log cabin for a family ski getaway. The cabin was charming and tucked away in a very private setting along the Betsie River. The bedroom layout worked perfectly for two families, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The host was responsive and incredibly kind—when we accidentally left an item behind, they went out of their way to help return it. We would absolutely love to stay here again.

Relaxing getaway

This home was the perfect place to relax at the end of a busy day enjoying all the beauty that Northern Michigan has to offer. My kids absolutely loved the yard and the big porch was the perfect spot to watch them and enjoy the beautiful evenings. Everything was well stocked and felt just like home.

Family Trip

The Bench Cabin was the perfect place for our family to stay while exploring beautiful northern Michigan! The cabin was spacious, clean, and fully stocked. We loved being able to come back at the end of the day to hang out as a family and to plan the next day’s adventure.
