This spot is private, quiet and comfortable inside the house with plenty of outdoor room as well. It is an easy commute to the beach by car although parking can be problematic if you don't go early. The house lacks for nothing as far as we were concerned and we totally enjoyed our week long stay.
We had a wonderful time here! Excellent location and so close to all the beaches and restaurants in Rye. Plenty of room for all of us. Highly recommend!
We stayed in a rainy October weekend, but still had a great time!
Jenness beach is beautiful and a hopping spot for surfers.
The house is an expanded cape, comfortable and tastefully decorated with a personal touch. We stayed in playing games and cooking, and felt very comfortable there.
The kitchen was amazing, casual and rustic looking, but it was a true chef’s kitchen, with everything you could need easily accessible. They even left out bowls of fresh vegetables from the garden for us, and a gift of wine and cheese in the fridge too.
The dining area had a big family table and a warm and cool woodworkers vibe with unique, maybe handmade, seating and chandelier.
The bedrooms were clean and pretty with tvs, there was a sun porch and cozy outdoor area and upstairs a huge soaking tub in a special fancy soaking tub room.
The owners were kind and communicative and we’d stay again in a heartbeat.
This house has everything! It’s a beautiful old structure that’s been nicely updated for the 21st century. Lots and lots of room for our family of six — a large living room, a nice dining room, three bedrooms with large beds (the master suite is a really nice, big space), a professional chef’s kitchen, a fascinating collection of great antiques and books, and even a small tank of real goldfish! This host has stocked the house with just about everything you could possibly need or desire. We can’t say enough good things about this property and this host.
This property was gorgeous! The host was more than accommodating. Located about 10 to 15 minutes from Portsmouth and Hampton, in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood. If we visit this part of NH again, we will try to book this same property. The grounds were just as incredible as the home. I will add if you dislike a rustic New England experience then this rental may not be the one for you. However, for my family it was a perfect match!

About the host
Your host
Hello! I have been renting my home for several summers to many couples and families who want to explore all that the incredibly beautiful New Hampshire Seacoast has to offer.
Why they chose this property
You will have the entire main portion of the house to yourself. The house is rustic with charm and lots of character. A place to unwind instead of a small sterile hotel room costing the same amount.
What makes this property unique
Take a vacation from Cooking too! Upon request in advance... catered dinners, lobster clambakes and other delights can be arranged.
