About this property
Discounted 3BR-4BR Oceanfront Home - Ocean View from 3 BR's!
YOU DON'T NEED TO LIFT YOUR HEAD OFF THE PILLOW TO SEE THE OCEAN SUNRISE!
There are 3 BRs* (all with ocean views), open LR and DR, kitchen and 2-person office plus 2-1/2 baths*. Look out through a wall of windows onto ocean sunrises, moonrises and see sunsets from the huge deck and west windows... or cross the street and view sunsets over the PI Tidal Basin.
*THERE IS AN OPTION TO INCLUDE THE 4TH BR/BATH/LAUNDRY DOWNSTAIRS DURING JUNE, JULY & AUGUST - PLEASE ASK WHEN INQUIRING.
Fully furnished. Lots of activities nearby within walking, biking and short driving distance. (Boston, NH & ME within 45 min.)
Ground level guest suite used by Owner, separate entrance.
There are not many places on Plum Island where all the bedrooms, the common area and both sides of a big deck have a panoramic ocean view! The ocean beach is our back yard. House includes all dishes, utensils, sheets, bath and beach towels, beach chairs & umbrellas plus a gas grill, cooler and hammock on the deck. Just bring your bathing suit and food/drink. Off-street parking for 1-3 cars.
Sit on the deck at night and watch the moon rise or the many stars (more if you turn lights off) and the solar light path to the beach.
The house is located diagonally across from the best breafast/lunch place in the area and around the corner (walking distance) from liquor and provisions stores & an ice cream/surf shop as well as a pub/restaurant with weekly live music, 2 restaurants with a sunset view within a half mile and a lobster/seafood restaurant within a mile. You could live on seafood here!
Plus, only 4 miles away is historic Newburyport with many great restaurants, shops, antiques, theater, a waterfront boardwalk, rail trails, boating, kayaking, whale watches, deep sea fishing and more.
Last but not least, Plum Island is on a major migratory path for birds and home of the Parker River Wildlife Refuge with pristine beaches, as well as an Audubon Society visitor center. PI is 11 miles long, only 2 miles is residential with 9 miles of wildlife refuge and beaches.

Why they chose this property
While this is my primary home that I live in year-round, I move downstairs & do a lot of travel during the summer, in order to share this great location... and supplement my retirement income. I stay out of the way and access my space through the garage. Having lived here most of my life, I can offer lots of insight to the area's best activities & features.
What makes this property unique
Incredible on-the-beach location with panoramic views and access to so much nature, great restaurants and shopping as well as being within an hour of Boston, NH, VT & Maine!
I am diagonally across the street from the best breakfast place around, Mad Martha's Cafe. My son Brad is a JWU chef and owns the best seafood restaurant, Bob Lobster, only 1 mile away. In between are 3 other great restaurants of different styles: PI Beachcoma pub & live music Sunday afternoons, PI Grille upscale dining w/a sunset view, and Sunset Club with an eclectic menu and great view. Only a mile away is the PI Lighthouse and Captains' Fishing the does deep sea fishing, whale watches & sunset cruises. Only 4 miles away in Newburyport are numerous great restaurants, shops, antiques & a riverfront boardwalk as well as several marinas, even boat & kayak rental.
That's not all... Plum Island has 9 miles in Parker River Refuge - a federally owned national park on a major migratory path for birds with several pristine beaches. At the southern tip is a state-owned area called Sandy Point - lots of shells and tide pools.
Lastly (maybe), we are only a 45-minute drive from Boston and Maine, 30 minutes to NH, just a little more to VT and 4-1/2 hour drive from Manhattan. PI is an ideal location!
