About this property

The Cottage at Dream Acres - Farm Stay (nearby I20/I95 Corridor)

- This cozy farm stay sits directly across from a large pond with beautiful views of our working horse barn and hobby farm animals. Our petting zoo is open 24/7 and we will provide feed for you to hand feed our goats, alpaca, chickens, and sheep as you please. An outdoor fire pit and picnic table is available to use as you please.

- The Queen size sofa Futon sleeper is very comfy. There are two custom built single size bunk beds directly off from the bathroom. The cottage ideally sleeps 2 adults on the queen sofa futon and two children in the bunks, they are 72 inch bunks (standard singles are 75 inches).

- We have a farm table & pop up coffee table to eat and relax at while watching TV.

- The kitchenette is fully stocked with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, and an electric skillet. The dining room table and pop up coffee table can be used for eating and/or for a remote work place. We have a small outdoor portable grill for grilling outside and an outdoor table and chairs. You may bring in your own snacks and prepared meals, or cook small meals using the small kitchen appliances that are provided. There is a selection of coffee, tea, granola bars, dishes, and utensils available for guest use. Farm fresh eggs provided daily! Check our online guide out for local dinning and take out suggestions.

- Linens, pillows, bath towels and hand towels are provided.

- We are committed to following CDC recommendations for cleaning and sanitizing in between stays.

- WiFi included, however it may be spotty at times as the Cottage is located in a rural area.

***PETS***

- Small pets are welcome per our discretion. Please message me ahead of time for approval. Pet Fee is $25. Trash bags and a waste can will provided for dog poop located just outside nearby the cottage patio.

- All Dogs MUST REMAIN ON A LEASH at all times. We have extra leashes and a run/tie off for the tree nearby the cottage. Our 4 barn cats and our chickens are free range and they will come near the cottage, we do not want any accidents so your pets must remain in a leash at all times!

*** Need More Room?? If this listing is booked or you need more space for additional guests, check out “The Roost” right on our property https://abnb.me/hlYgDELt1lb

**Horse Layovers**

Please Inquire about the Horse Hotel cost. Horse board for travel lay over is an option. We have accommodations for up to 4 horses including hookups, round pen, coastal hay, a paddock for turn out, out door riding arena and stalls.

- Unfortunately we do not have a washer and dryer however there is laundry mat nearby; Celebration Laundry 2529 S Cashua Dr Florence SC 29161

***Other Things to Note***

Small children and babies are welcome, however the cottage is not childproof as far as wall outlets in cabinets. We do not have a wheelchair accessible shower or bathroom. Keep in mind we are a working farm; the cottage is located in the middle of our barnyard. You will hear animal noises such as barks, brays, and neighs. Our sheep, donkeys and goats are noisy mostly at feeding time. The livestock fencing is electric. You and or your pet will get shocked if you touch the hot wire. Our barn cats wander freely about the property and are very friendly. Our dogs are separated from the cottage by a fence. We try hard to have our dogs inside the main house when you arrive, however if they are outside they will bark at you a lot when you pull in. our neighbors dogs will bark too. The cottage faces our pond and you will hear bullfrogs and peepers singing at night. In the spring and summer months although we do treat for insects you will see insects such as mosquitoes and flies outside. If animal noises, animal smells, and the occasional insect are not your thing the cottage may not be the right place for you.

Overnight stay that felt like a mini dream vacation!
We always make a well-planned overnight stop on our trip to south each year- and this one has topped them all. The owner provides clear directions to a secure gated cottage- and then you enjoy your own little farm oasis… the goats, sheep, alpacas, mini donkeys, horses, chickens, barn cats, (I’m sure I’m missing somebody…) all happy to greet the newest guests! An animal lover’s dream. Or a nature lover’s happy place. The beds were super comfortable, and the cottage had all the needed amenities. Would highly recommend, and we will be booking again!

Perfect pit stop
Stayed at the cottage for a one night pit stop on our travels. Plenty of room for two people and two dogs. It couldn't have been more perfect for our needs.

A perfect country cottage
The Cottage at Dream Acres was exactly what we needed. The cottage was nice and clean and the decorations added to the charm. The location was peaceful and we loved the small farm feel. We will absolutely come back to The Cottage on our next trip to the area.

Hidden Gem!
Our stay was quick (in around 10pm, left around 8am) but what a fun place to stay! The futon bed was more comfortable than some beds I’ve slept in and was already made up and ready to go when we got in late. Such a great help! And the animals! There is a container of food that my boys used to feed the alpacas and goats in the morning. So adorable. Will definitely stay again the next time we’re in the area!
