About this property

The apartment "ZWEI" in the former inn "Zur Höll" in Marktbreit

Our apartments were renovated in 2015 and are lovingly furnished, the style is Franconian-Scandinavian. The structure of the building dates from the middle of the 20th century and has been lovingly restored by us. We have e.g. B. refurbished wooden floors, plastered walls, no permanently installed carpets etc.

This ad refers to the large apartment in our house. This is upstairs and has 2 bedrooms with two double beds and a pull-out sofa for 2 people, a large kitchen and a large bathroom with bathtub. The large terrace (25 sqm) is an additional treat.

We also have an apartment for 2 people (23 sqm) and a small apartment for 2-4 people (30 sqm) on offer. We have advertised these separately.

All lines, all windows, the heating and all surfaces of the old house have been renovated or renewed.

All units have TV, internet, central heating, new bathrooms and wooden floors. The apartments have new kitchens.

Dogs are welcome to come with them if they are not too big (50 cm; 25 kg). They cost € 8 per day. Please ask.

Marktbreit is located at the top of the main triangle on the Main, in the middle of the Franconian wine country on the way to the Steigerwald.
In addition to the impressions of an old Franconian city, the historic and romantic city also offers more than average culinary delights, which is extremely important, at least for us Franconians.
In addition to our own autobahn exit on the A7, 1.2 km away, we also have a well-frequented rail connection on the Würzburg-Ansbach route.

The directly passing Main Cycle Path and several motif cycle paths in the Kitzingen district offer many opportunities to get around by bike. The Steigerwald is 15 km away, which opens up many options for hikers. We are 20 km from Würzburg, 35 km from Rothenburg o.d.T. and 85 km from Bamberg and Nuremberg. These are all Franconian architectural and cultural pearls!

"HIMMEL & HÖLLE" is a pair of opposites that has it all. Therefore, this is briefly explained here again.
We had an idea while walking after seeing the "For Sale" sign on the old inn "Zur Höll", which was in need of renovation.

After the first inspection, this idea matured, we bought and renovated the building in 2014/15. The aim was to be able to offer guests beautiful apartments (the "sky") across the market.

In addition, part of the idea was to renovate the old guest room (the "hell"). It is now available for celebrations, seminars etc. You can take care of yourself here or book various services such as catering or party service. However, the dining room and the apartments are not rented out at the same time, unless overnight accommodation is booked for the celebration. Tenants of the apartments should be able to sleep in peace.

Central to so much with everything that you need

We stayed for 7 days in Marktbriet and loved it. We had pleanty to do with in a shorter drive for the entire time and had a couple of items for the next trip. A wonderful small town to wander around, grocery in Ochsenfurt had everything that we needed. Restaurant Altr Esel was just a very short walk away for an extraordinary meal, italian place down by the river Pizzeria Catania was excellent for our first night after travel for our kids. We did not get to meet our hosts as they were on Holiday, but Tina was very helpful with check in. The property was just as described and very clean. We hope to stay again in the future.

Einfach super!

Wir haben 5 wunderschöne Tage in Marktbreit verbracht und waren in der Wohnung "Zwei" untergebracht. Die Wohnung zeichnet sich durch moderne Schlichtheit aus und ist doch sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Man merkt, dass hier alles mit Liebe hergerichtet wurde! Ein Wohnzimmer hat uns nicht gefehlt. Danke nochmal an den Vermieter, Herrn Schad, welcher uns außerdem mit seinen Genussempfehlungen einen tollen Urlaub beschert hat. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Schönes Haus in sehr guter Lage. Restaurant, Bahn, Bäcker, Parkplatz - alles in der Nähe

Wir hatten die FeWo im 1.OG. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet, es gab eine schöne Terrasse zw. den Häusern wo man den Tag, auch im Herbst noch, gemütlich ausklingen lassen konnte. Was wir auf den Bildern leider vorher nicht gesehen haben, ein Schlafzimmer war ein Durchgangszimmer. Das war für uns (angereist als zwei Familien) nicht ganz so schön. Erschwerend hinzu kam noch die altbautypische knarrende Dielung.

Schönes und gemütliches Feriendomizil!

Sehr saubere und gemütliche, moderne Wohnung inmitten der schönen Altstadt, in der man alles vorfindet, was man braucht. Die Weinberge liegen in direkter Umgebung, sodass man Wanderungen auch direkt von der Unterkunft beginnen kann. Vor der Haustür ist das Parken nur eingeschränkt möglich, ein kostenfreier Parkplatz liegt jedoch nur wenige Meter entfernt. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und sehr an einen angenehmen Aufenthalt ihrer Gäste interessiert. Jederzeit wieder!

Einen Tag vor Anreise war die Wohnung angeblich überbucht...

... so die Mitteilung der Vermieter - aber wir (2 Erwachsene und 2 kleine Kinder) könnten in einer anderen größeren Wohnung unseren Urlaub verbringen. So haben wir nach Übersendung einiger Fotos der "neuen" Wohnung (= Wohnung 4 der Vermieter) ebenfalls im Zentrum von Marktbreit auch dieses Angebot angenommen und sind am Sonntag dort wie gebucht angereist. Die Wohnung im 2. OG stellte sich als eine sehr spartanisch eingerichtete 2,5 Zimmerwohnung heraus, mit einem Schlafzimmer (Doppelbett + Einzelbett), halbes Durchgangszimmer zum Balkon (Einzelbett), Wohnzimmer (kleine Schlafcouch), Küche und Minibadezimmer heraus. Im Bad gab es nur eine kleine Badewanne und ein winziges Waschbecken (ca. 20 x 25 cm), so dass ein vernünftiges Händewaschen etc. schon schwierig war... Zum Schlafen haben wir (Mutter und Vater) abwechselnd im Einzelbett bei den Kindern und auf der Couch im Wohnzimmer geschlafen. In der Wohnung im 1. OG war Baustelle und somit ab 10 Uhr Baulärm. Nachdem wir dieses bei den Vermietern beanstandet haben, wurde uns der Umzug in die ursprünglich gebuchte (hier zu bewertende) Wohnung angeboten, jedoch nur bis Freitag und nicht wie von uns gebucht bis Samstag. So viel also zum Überbuchen ... Es wurde uns eine provisorische Wohnung angeboten. Die Anschlussbuchung sollte wohl nicht "durch die Lappen" gehen. Wir finden dieses Verhalten der Vermieter unehrlich und beschämend!

Stilvoll sanierte Fewo in altem Gasthof in ruhiger Altstadtlage

Mit unserem kurzen Aufenthalt waren wir (vier Erwachsene) in der Fewo Zwei sehr zufrieden. Der Kontakt zum hilfsbereiten Vermieterehepaar war angenehm und unkompliziert. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die ruhige Lage mitten in der idyllischen Altstadt des Mainstädtchens. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, die Küche geräumig und großzügig. Die beiden Schlafzimmer liegen hintereinander, d.h. das erste Schlafzimmer ist Durchgangszimmer (war für uns kein Problem). Der große Küchentisch bildet den natürlichen Treffpunkt für die Gäste, denn ein "Wohnzimmer" mit Sitzecke gibt es nicht (was uns nicht gestört hat, da wir die Fewo nur zum Schlafen und für's Frühstücken genutzt haben). Bei einem längeren Aufenthalt könnte es allerdings schon fehlen. Die von der Fewo zugängliche Terrasse kann im Sommerhalbjahr bei schönem Wetter einen angenehmen Sitzplatz im Freien bieten. Die Fewo können wir für Kurzaufenthalte absolut zu empfehlen.

Nice Apartment in an Old Stone Building

The old stone apartment "Zwei" was the perfect place for us. It is centrally located to tour the sights of the "Romantic Road", Wurzburg, and Bamberg. The village of Marktbreit is perfect. It has all the sights of the Romantic Road towns, without the tourists. Wall towers, half-timber houses, several very good restaurants and is located on the Main river. The apartment has two nice size bedrooms, a very large bathroom, and a nice modern kitchen. The old wooden floors are a bit "squeaky" but the apartment is very clean, and well equipped. There is also a very nice terrace to relax and enjoy some "Franken" wine after a day of adventures. Michael was wonderful to deal with. He made sure we had everything we needed. We had a great stay at this wonderful old stone apartment.

Perfect beautiful home in romantic village

This is perfect vacation home, even for a family with a small dog. It has been great. The appartment is well furnished, and looks pretty. Kitchen is well equipped. Large fridge with large freezer. Nothing is failing, everything works and is taken care of with great dedication. The appartment is at the second floor. The floor is wood and may screech. You have to step over the screeching parts. The WiFi speed needs improvement; it is not fast enough to show a Netflix movie. Restaurants and fast food at walking distance, as well as ice cream shops. You can park your car right in front of the house, but be careful. There are parking restrictions. It is recommended to set your parking disk to 8:00 AM and to leave before 10:00AM, or park up the hill outside of the restricted zone.

Eine sehr hübsche Ferienwohnung in einer mittelalterlichen Stadt

Die zwei Zimmer der Ferienwohnung in dem alten Gasthof inmitten von Marktbreit waren mit alten Holzdielen ausgelegt. Das sorgt für ein heimeliges Gefühl. Küche, Bad und Terrasse sind großzügig und sauber. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genießen können in dem ruhigen und überraschend hübschen Städtchen, in dem wir letztendlich mehr Zeit verbrachten als im nahen Würzburg.

Netter Kontakt zu den Besitzern und auch netter Empfang vor Ort. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und modern ausgestattet. Sie bietet auch in der Küche alles was man braucht. Ein Highlight ist zudem der große Balkon. Können die Wohnung nur weiterempfehlen!
