The living room features a recliner, L-shaped sectional sofa, storage ottoman and side table with a phone charger, books, and games. There are two dressers, two nightstands, phone chargers, lamps and a 24" smart/streaming TV. The spacious closet provides for lots of hanging space and we also provide luggage stands and a small safe.
The bathroom was designed to feel big and luxurious, with frameless resort-style glass and a large walk-in, no-transition shower. We provide towels and washcloths along with body soap, conditioner, shampoo, and everything else you would expect including a hair dryer.
Last but not least, the walk-in laundry room and pantry area features a lot of great storage, a full-sized LG washer and dryer, ironing board, iron, detergent and bleach.

And while you'll love the house you'll REALLY love the back porch! Sit in one of the rocking chairs and enjoy a picture-perfect view looking southwest across the eastern edge of the Edwards Plateau .

What an amazing place. Perfectly stocked with everything you’ll need. Loved sitting out on the back patio watching the sunset and the beautiful deer. Great location- close to everything.
The host Matt, was ready, willing and able to help during our visit and accommodated any special needs. The accommodations were wonderful, clean, comfortable and had many of the extra touches to make your stay feel like a second home. The view of Hill country was especially beautiful. Providing corn to feed the numerous deer that visited in the morning was an extra special touch. We plan to visit again with our next trip to Georgetown to visit with our family.
We absolutely loved the casita! It was extremely clean and had everything we could need. We loved feeding the deer and walking around the neighborhood in the evenings.
This was a very nice casita. It was beautiful inside and out. Everything was organized so well. The beds and living room furniture were very comfy! I enjoyed feeding the deer. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Highly recommend!!!
Quick trip to Texas to pick up a custom hat from Nathaniel's Hats in downtown Georgetown. Quiet neighborhood, great views from the patio. Very clean and comfortable home. Would definitely book here again.
This might be the best VRBO we have stayed in. It was very clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen and bathroom are great. We loved the view out the back! We would highly recommend this place!

About the host
Hosted by Matt Painter
Hi there! We're the Painter family- Matt, Tiffany, Will and Owen. We've been in Georgetown for a long time and love all that Central Texas and the Hill Country has to offer. And we're excited to share part of it with you!
Why they chose this property
The guest house you will enjoy was built in 2018 and is adjacent to the main residence. The property as a whole is about 4-acres and borders the Middle San Gabriel River. It is home to lots of whitetail deer and baby fawns in late spring/early summer. It's not uncommon to spot a gray fox, owl, redtail hawk, crested caracara, or armadillo.
What makes this property unique
As travelers, it's usually a balancing act to find a place that's conveniently located but also quiet and with great amenities. This little house really does have it all. It's new, spotlessly clean, close to everything but also quiet and has views to the horizon. To us it feels like a retreat and we look forward to you getting to experience it as well.
Kalahari Waterpark is about 15 minutes away in Round Rock and depending on the time of year you can catch a Round Rock Express baseball game or a Texas Stars hockey game in Cedar Park. 25 minutes south and you're in Austin or 15 minutes north and you're in the quaint village of Salado. If you want to head just a bit further north there's also a lot to do in Waco (Magnolia, Waco Zoo, Dr. Pepper museum). Even though Waco is an hour away it's a super easy drive.
If you need recommendations we can give you plenty! You really can't go wrong with anything in Downtown Georgetown but we can highly recommend Wildfire, Golden Rule, Blue Corn Harvest, Mesquite Creek Outfitters, 600 Degrees Pizza, and the hidden ice cream shop in the back of All Things Kids. San Gabriel Park has lots of kid-friendly options and Lake Georgetown is great for hiking and biking.
