Eventful and complicated experience! If you like very remote places this is definitely for you!
Location is very remote, everything is 20-30 minutes from the cabin, if you like remote locations this is the place to be, cabin was very nice and somewhat clean (except for the garage) Toni and Don are very responsive and supportive.. We had issues with water since day 1, first it was running dirty and yellowish, and the same day that we arrived it stopped running completely, so every day we had people bringing water to fill up a tank so it could fill the whole house… (We had to Preserve more water than normal, to the point that we could not flush every time we went to the bathroom, we went through this even on Christmas (so the cooking was complicated and it brought lots of stress to my family) last days we did not even hot water. Due to the circumstances, Toni and Don decided to upgrade us to a nicer/bigger cabin on the 28th (we wanted to leave earlier but everything was booked or either very expensive due to the holidays).. The Cabin that they gave us on the 28th was definitely an upgrade (very nice) more rooms, 3 stories, 2 kitchens, etc… We were super happy that new year was Going to be a different and nicer experience (no extra charge was added even though is a 800USD a night ) so we were grateful for this! Another event occurred in the upgraded cabin, power start shutting off on the 30th, when I reported this to Don, he said we were consuming more than we were supposed to, and we should adapt to mountain living (at the end we left one night before)

Great Stay!!
Staying at this property was perfect for our family thanksgiving!! The owners were very nice and helpful with the check in and settling process. The property was absolutely stunning, we got some snow one of the nights, which made it that much more perfect. We would definitely recommend this property and will stay again!

Great house
The house was perfect and fully stocked with everything we needed including shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion in each bathroom. Kitchen was stocked and there were tons of family games to choose from. We didn’t even touch our box of games we brought but instead tried new ones that were at the house. Communication with owners was great and they always replied right away. Our family loves to relax in a hot tub in the evening after hiking and unfortunately this one was broken upon arrival. Owners offered a hot tub to use at another location nearby so we used that although it wasn’t the same as on the property. We appreciated being able to still use one though and they worked hard to get it going for our last night. Would definitely stay again. It was perfect for our family vacation and spending time together!

Pine Cone owner, Jodi, has been in the wealth management business in Prescott for over three decades, and is senior partner of Taylor & Padgett Wealth & Legacy Strategies. She is a Certified Financial Planner (1988) and has her MS in financial planning (2006). Padgett often refers to herself as a “philanthropist in progress,” taking the firm’s motto — striving to partner with people who want to make wise decisions about money, and who endeavor to leave a legacy — to heart.

She feels blessed to live in the small, peaceful rural community of Skull Valley, partnering with Fiona Reid, in the Painted Lady Vineyard, and is very happy to now have her son, Jake, as part of Taylor & Padgett. Her hobbies include work (she hasn’t figured out that work is not a hobby), the world of wine-grape growing, running, is a bookworm and member of a small book club.

The Pinecone is managed by Toni Moore, Jodi's childhood friend, who also owns and manages the nearby TihsreeD Lodge Wedding and Event Venue with her husband, Don Moore.

Why they chose this property

Florissant is right in the very center of Colorado, at 9000 ft above sea level. That makes it very comfortable in the summer, and close to all the fun Colorado has to offer. It is also just down the road from TihsreeD Lodge Wedding and Event Venue, which brings families to the area from all over the US and abroad.
